Gonna have to disagree on that one, rape is the one crime that has no defense. You rape someone it's because you couldn't control your lust. Things can get a bit complicated when alcohol is involved, but if you consider death to be the 'easy way out' it's because you're thinking about how the rapist feels. The biggest problkem with The Purge is that the entire premise makes literally no sense. First, you can't make crime legal, since crime is by definition ANY illegal activity. Second, the cleanup costs after each Purge would be astronomical. Third, in reality virtually nobody would actually go out murdering, stealing etc. Fourth, the entire idea violates so many parts of the Constitution it's not even funny.

I'm a bleeding heart, so I've never watched that kinda stuff. I'd watch one of those videos where a skater crashes during a trick, or a guy jumps into a pool and hits the edge, and I'd be like "ouch is that guy okay." rather than finding it funny. Never mind stuff where people actually get seriously hurt or killed. Fiction though; no problem. As long as I know its not a real person getting real hurt.

I grew up in that same generation but I managed to avoid any extreme gore or violence for the most part. I dunno I just can't handle that stuff, I was an absolute nervous wreck for weeks after I saw someone explode in Robocop as a kid, if I saw anything irl like that I'd be a mess.

i am turning 30 this year .. when i was like 10 to 12 i saw waaaaaaaaaaay more brutal shit than today .. all those videos that went around via bluetooth or infrared .. damn im old xD but there was so much sexual and brutal stuff in a span of 2-4 years ... ::D at that time that stuff just was normal to have on your phone .. today you have to activley look for stuff like that if you really want to see that shit
