I have a real love/hate relationship with these kinds of anime love stories. My greatest desire is to find a girl like this in real life and have their sweet subtle relationship but instead I married a girl that just saw me as a tool to fix her own messed up life and as soon as she found other people that turned her on more she jumped ship and left me emotionally destroyed. I wish it was more common to have these kinds of relationships. The only thing good to come out of my marriage was my kids and I barely see them at all.

I dont know how you get recommendations so ill just shoot my shot, Mieruko chan, a horror/comedy about a girl who can see ghosts and needs to pretend that she cant, its funny its scary its heart warming and heart breaking Sleepy princess in the demons castle, a princess is taken captive by the demon king and the only thing she can do is sleep, a goal she will accomplish by any means necessary, a comedy with a large cast of characters Kemono michi, an isekai about a hero summoned to beat the demon king, the twist is that hes a pro wrestler and a furry, a comedy that made me say wtf atleast a few times

There is enough of the manga to have a season 2, including the progression of their relationship, and how much Gojo is coming out of his shell to socialize with other people. Minor spoilers regarding their romantic development, during one of their cosplay events with other cosplayers, including Juju, Marin planned on make her love confession later when they are having the post event party, but wound up blue balling herself by saying how she wanted to do a certain cosplay for an upcoming con or whatever. So Gojo is immediately planning to leave the party midway through it so he can get everything setup so he can make the cosplay for her in time for the con, all the while she is trying to tell him to not worry about it and stay so she can make her confession to him, ultimately failing to keep him from leaving early.

My Dress-up Darling is one of the few romance animes where i'm 100% ok with it's "will they-won't they?" and actually enjoy the slowburn! Gojo is a sheltered bean who's been working hard on his dream - suddenly getting a girlfriend like that would not do good for this bean. Hell, he probably doesn't even realize the feelings he feels towards Marin aren't 'just friends' feelings. And Marin, someone who usually just goes at stuff, probably recognizes that and takes it slow and easy on the goodest boy! I'm happy that you liked it Alicia and i hope you liked it enough that i don't need to redeem the next season >:3

Imo it's top 10 anime movies for me and it's SO good! It's based off a real story and I feel you would enjoy it! No need to pressure yourself and don't push yourself please!
