At the time that he set out, he hadn't really put much thought into rebounds, so it's fairly random. He doesn't control their direction or momentum, he just ignores them. He does eventually learn to redirect projectile rebounds, but until then, it wouldn't be too surprising if some of his offscreen kills come from wild rebounds.

A pirate is a pirate and it's not trustworthy in his eyes, it's different than just good and evil. I think Smoker has proven that he can even work with a pirate in "spoilers", but he is ultimately correct: no matter how "good" Luffy is, if you get on his wrong side he will absolutely demolish you. Because Luffy is not "just", he is "selfish" and cares only about HIS freedom and HIS friends. He is a menace to the society. You can criticize him for his priorities, sure, because there are definitely pirates more dangerous than Luffy so he doesn't have to chase him that much, but ultimately any society needs the rule of law. If you want to pursue "justice" in the OP world, you will have to be either a reformist in the Government/Navy if you still believe they can be salvaged or a straight-up revolutionary.

Oda only started to draw him cuter when he heard Ikue Otani’s (chopper’s VA) voice for Chopper, saying that he simply had to match the visuals to that cute voice. So Alicia fawning over Chopper’s voice is warranted! haha

Luffy has done literally nothing bad against him or innocents yet he hunts him like a lion hunts a zebra. if he had a single bit of character development and integrity he would actually change as a character, i stopped watching around 750 and he didn't change, he's still the same luffy hunter

2023-08-09 13:36:40 +0000 UTCi liked smoker early on but he just gets worse as the show goes on, his obsession with Luffy is stupid, he doesn't judge anyone based on their actions only their titles, he could see a navy officer set fire to an orphanage and a pirate trying to save the children from the burning orphanage and take the side of the officer.
