I found it hard to take his optimism as sincere. I was really cynical. It is so much fun to see this on a rewatch and see your insights. Season 4 is my favorite because of Mirio and he has my favorite arc. I can’t wait to hear your reactions and analysis! Thank you for all that you do!

2023-08-16 16:33:29 +0000 UTCI liked how season 3 ended cause it helped increase the hype for season 4, oh yeah Alicia since you always skip new openings when they appear until after a few episodes let me tell you which episodes it’s okay to start watching the OP, you can either start watching it on ep: 4 or ep: 6 cause ep: 3 and ep:5 well on my opinion show the final key characters in this Arc, so you can choose either ep:4 or 6 to start the opening can’t wait for the next season stay healthy and positive

2023-08-16 14:48:28 +0000 UTCMonoma is kinda like Bakugo in the sense that he acts like an asshole but is surprisingly smart. Like that time at the sports festival during Bakugo vs Uraraka when he insulted the fight. Or so it seemed at first, but what he was actually insulting were the spectators who didn't see Uraraka's prep for the big attack, which he and Eraser ended up explaining later. He's also never obnoxious towards anyone but class A, so it's more of a twisted rivalry thing he's got going on instead of just looking down on anyone else. When it comes to Mineta, yeah... His gross arc started early and is still going. I suppose he's there to remind viewers that there are all kinds of heroes out there, but man, he gets way too much time on screen to my liking.

But Mineta...yeah I agree with Alicia that the show would be better without him. There were one or two scenes where his bullshit allowed other characters to have a chance to show off their moral fiber by calling him out, but after season 1, that would be really redundant. He needs to grow out of that behavior, but he just *doesn't*. The author should've used Mineta's internship with Mount Lady as an excuse to have him change his ways without needing some gross inciting incident. Instead, he's just a drag chute on almost any scene he's in.
