No it definitely isnt as strong period,the show was nowhere near as entertaining or compelling . outsiders was decent but they wasted so much time on pointless flashbacks and other shit in season 4. The ability to have more adult subjects wouldve done it good if it was doing more meaningful subject matter

2023-08-19 15:01:55 +0000 UTCWhile kitemam is usually a pretty goofy character, there is at least one sorta badass version of the character out there. in this take of his story, he gets dragged into a battle between joker and riddler, after joker hired him to build some of his tech. during the whole back and forth, his son gets poisoned and dies, so kiteman, in honour of his dead son and their favorite past time of flying kites together, dons his new villain outfit and joins the fight for real. now, maybe it's still not the coolest gimmick to have, but being so dedicated to honour a lost loved one and trying to keep their memory alive? i can respect that.

The voice effects and bad accent are such a perfect riff on the Tom Hardy version, and I love how he just gets bullied by Joker for no good reason. Absolutely right btw about how well the "casual" dialogue is written, most of the super hero stuff is just cheesy one liners but the in between stuff is great comedy writing.
