Gives us, the viewers, a way to tie in why he knows of them. Luffy giving himself the scar is a little silly, though we have to remember he's a child who wants something and, honestly, it's Luffy. Child Luffy, even worse. haha

It has the feel of a well produced tokusatsu show like the Kamen Rider and Garo movies (it kinda is tbh, in the best way) and I'm hoping it serves well as fun adaptation for folks who already like One Piece and a primer for newcomers to dive deeper into the franchise. Straw Hat fans all over are eating good!

Remember that kuro explained back in usopp's village that he got tired of the pirate life, so he attacked a random marine ship and killed all but one marine. He then had jango, the michael jackson hypnotist guy, use his abilities on one of kuro's subordinates and the captured marine, to make them believe that that random pirate is kuro and that the marine, aka the future captain morgan, caught him, before sending them off to sea. Thus "captain kuro" was excecuted and declared dead, given the real kuro time to infiltrate kaya's mansion, and earning morgan his promotion to captain.

The furthest thing I know of foreshadows something that happens around episode 1000 - which is a ridiculously tiny detail that's almost impossible to notice. There some stuff that's a lot more obvious but if you're after Enies Lobby you're fine with the biggest spoiler by far is the series. All that being said... Honestly, I would recommend watching the live action show anyway. The big reveal is just as good here as it is the manga or anime IMO. You can only be surprised by the reveal once, I don't think getting that here is any worse. Still, it's definitely a big reveal, so you do you.

I mean, that was the reason why the treasure is called One Piece, and also the reason for the name of the story. The absence of the line has me wondering, in this universe, why do they call it the One Piece?

For those who are in the know - Rev. Just... you know. It's not like she'll be getting ALL the information that we get at that point, so I think it's fine to be spoiled on this one thing.

Most people watching this already love one piece and know everything so it doesn't matter, and then the others are likely people who will never watch the anime or read the manga so spoilers like this don't matter because this will be the only way they experience the story. 2023-08-31 17:45:51 +0000 UTCI love this already! yeah they changed things, but all the changes make sense either as needed for being Live Action, or they work to make the pacing smoother and more constant, and they even manage to work in hints and nods to things later on that simply make sense to be here at the time. Plus.... I think I actually like this version of Morgan better then the original. He's still a hard-ass, but he's not such an over the top asshole that you are left questioning why the marines are following a guy who casually murders them on a whim. About the only thing I didn't out right LOVE was Shanks... something about the way he looks is just... off, between the wig, and straw hat not looking quite right on him since it's sized for Luffy.... something just doesn't feel right... everything else though is spot on!

In real life Luffy and Buggy's powers would be some level of body horror and i think they had to choose between playing into it a little or the effects looking too dumb.
