I was a AP english kid in high school when I read it so we spent most of our time laughing at the dirty joke stories. I really should go back a re-read it but it's kinda a slog.

Only one point. He discovered vitamins. Otherwise, yeah he was a quack that led to a lot of monstrous idiocy.
Though i will give him that people had yet to discover the most important fact about vitamins, you just need a small amount of them and it can be bad to get more than that.
That is the only bit of fairness i will give him and i think he was vital in actually proving that by making people take vitamin mega-doses. (Not that he seemed to realize that fairly important point)

pretty sure its supposed to be like the downspout of the gutter ie the part that curves outward near the ground the water goes out of and the v lines and dick are supposed to be like a gutter where cum comes from lmao

cum gutters
the v-shaped line leading from a mans hips to his dick, typically more defined if the man is fit and muscular. Pretty sure its supposed to be a play off gutter spouts being like the dick and lines lol

i have to have a giggle with this but its gonna be a long one.... the whole vitamin a,b,c whatever can cure everything came from the dude who literally invented vitamins Casimir Funk (badass name tho) he won two different nobel prizes in different subjects which was unheard of at the time and is where we get the line of "vitamin c can cure the common cold" but as he got older he got weirder and started saying "vitamins can cure cancer"... I'll give you one guess what he died of

I always imagined cum gutters as a woman squirting on top and it running down the abs like gutters. That's my narrative, feel free to correct.

This episode almost got me to try reading a Joseph Campbell book again. Also I remember enjoying Canterbury tales in school but didn't sleep enough back then to remember much of anything else about it.
