This is the episode they finally addressed the core concept of the show. The “love is war” premise is a ruse to disguise both of their fears of rejection.

I don't know if you're interested in manga. But the spinoff manga We want to talk about kaguya follows the media club. You also see a ton more background info on people like maki, nagisa and her boyfriend, as well as others. It's hilarious. You just need to stop reading when it catches up to the anime lol.
You have to find it online tho. It's only fan translated.

How dare you not like a character I don't like! The shame! I'm working on my dissertation about how your opinion is wrong right now!

Pretty sure Ishigami intentionally pushed, Ino knowing it would piss her off, to get her to speak clearly.
Looking at his tone and choice of words he wasn't nicely asking her if she is ok and if he should do it for her, he was poking her knowing she would take it as him mocking/belittling her and get so angry at him that she would forget about the crowd staring at her.

I do hope the 4koma "We Want to Talk About Kaguya" gets animated at some point. Even if it is only as shorts. It follows the simping duo Karen and Erika, and mostly takes place behind the scenes of the main story. Which adds a surprising amount of context to it.
