The subtitles for these definitely did change! I was watching your reaction to season 1 and I the subtitles weren't what I remember. I could tell because in most of the media I've come across they use the phrase "abnormal" to describe the titans that don't follow norms. Maybe you watched a super early translated version.

2025-04-30 04:13:42 +0000 UTCSo, Oruo actually had an accent before we meet him in Season 1. Petra even comments on the way he talks here on this OVA. But after a while he decided to speak more like Levi. Back on Season 1 Petra also commented how he was trying to sound more like Levi and that he should stop because him and Levi aren't alike in the slightest. So it's not just a subtitle change, but it's actually a real difference in his character in the story.
