Finally watching! Been meaning to watch this anime so why not watch it along with yall! I think it's so funny that they use 2 tropes and find a why to not make them seem so ridiculous, 1st being the op transfer student and 2nd have the main character get engaged on episode 1! Lol

The mobile suits move really slowly and jankily one moment, then move like they weigh nothing in the next. That's a common problem with anime, I know, but I feel it still bears mentioning. That, and the fact that even though her speech was about experience and pride, she didn't even fight the guy as much as she did stand around and let her lasers do all the work for her. They can animate a juicy tomato being bitten into, but not the robots the series is named after fighting for more than three moves?

The official full 3 mins mv is on youtube and lyrics go hard on this one(sadly no official eng sub 😓). I love the song because the lyrics are all about not solely living for other people's expectations and finding a way to love oneself.

2022-12-27 06:25:19 +0000 UTCIf you really love this lesbian engagement through dueling plot, you should watch "Revolutionary Girl Utena," a classic anime from the late 90s that does the exact same thing, except with fencing. That's probably not a coincidence, since the main writer worked on the novelizations of Utena. Also Utena's just generally fantastic, especially aesthetically.
