I wish you could watch the pirated bluray version but if you think it will hurt the analytics then i don't know what you should do. If i remember chrunchyroll has all the parts censored when it comes to gore

2023-01-03 13:01:15 +0000 UTCNot explained in any of the animes but explained in a Jojo side book about design choices/rules for making Jojo: Stand Stats are Physical Strength + Mental/Emotional Fortitude (with allocation of the stats and type of Stand being based on who you are as a person) and Stand Stamina/Power is Physical Stamina * Emotional Stamina. Stand Stats being at D is base Human Strength so D in Strength and Durability would be equivalent to an Average Human; E is the only thing lower they don't go below E and it's a catchall for anything weaker than a Human. The only stat that doesn't follow that rule is Developmental Potential which is it's own thing that'll be explained later. There is more to it than this but the stuff I left out IS mentioned in the Anime so I don't want to mention those things. Since you might not know what I mean by stand stats since it wasn't translated in the vids you're watching, it's that graph you see inbetween scenes sometimes next to a person's stand. 2022-12-27 22:42:30 +0000 UTCJust found out through watching this video that Netflix has the TV version (the Bluray version is uncensored and some things that didn't look right are redrawn) of Parts 3 and 4. Odd, since they have the Bluray version of Parts 1 and 2... I can vouch for the quality of Some-stuffs Blu Ray releases, but it's not like the censorship will ruin your enjoyment of the series, since it's just black blots... there's nothing outright changed or removed. And thankfully, Parts 5 and 6 never went through censorship (perhaps Japan aired them in a timeslot few kids would watch?)

2022-12-27 19:01:18 +0000 UTCI think my favorite part of this opening is the symbolism. Like you get to the midway part where it shows Jonathan, he closes his eyes to signify his journey is over. You see Joseph, he blinks, his previous journey is over but he's still part of the story. You see Jotaro, his eyes are closed and he opens them to show his journey is just starting. There's a lot of cool stuff in this opening but if you hyper-analyze it you're gonna get spoiled.

Since Abdul so kindly explained the Tower and its symbolism I'll just add that the Chariot, usually depicted being pulled by two sphinxes with the rider holding no rope but a sword or a wand in his hand, often symbolizes success, victory, action and determination. And it's universal that if the stand is hurt the damage is reflected on the user. This was shown in the Jotaro vs. Kakyoin fight but it's kinda easy to miss, when Star Platinum grabs Hierophant Green by the neck indents can be seen on Kakyoin's neck. There are exceptions to this rule but it's true more often than not.

If you ever start One Piece, either go for the Manga or check "One Pace", the fan-project that fixes the Anime by removing all the unneeded fluff. The Anime has a BIG problem of filler and extending scenes to pad runtime. In the middle of battles you would have multiple scenes of close-ups to character's faces that last dozens of seconds without anyone even saying anything, animation will be made extremely slow so it lasts longer, filler scene will constantly be thrown INSIDE the canon episodes... Watching the One Piece Anime is rough.

2022-12-27 16:17:27 +0000 UTCNetflix, while certainly being the most easily available, has some issues when it comes to JoJo. The first most obvious one is the subtitle changes in regards to stand. Whether or not it was actually necessary due to copyright laws or what not is debatable, but the changes became more obvious the further you go. The other downside is the obnoxious censoring, which is what the giant black circles are.

The stewerdesses called him handsome, at which point he visibly reacted and then called them bitches. It was later, when they didn't show him affection but remained neutral that he complimented them on their competence and asked them to help them by tending to the passengers. Had he also blushed and called the "idiot", you could consider him one of, if not the first tsundere main character.
