JoJo's Part Three Episode 8 (and 7 recap)

:3 hey there here is episode 8 and a episode 7 recap from Ant. It feels amazing to be ahead in a series here on patreon. I'm trying my best to get ahead more but triple uploads on here and on youtube is hella hard haha ^u^

JoJo's Part Three Episode 8 (and 7 recap)

Comments

yeah for real

Pompoms

7 was a lot of fun... And then the shower scene happened with a creepy monkey that kinda ruined it. Totally respect just dropping the episode in favor of being able to continue. To be honest jojo's has a couple of "strange" choices every now and then but this episode was the most problematic one for ssure

Dude559

Also wanted to add that polnareffs sister was SA and murdered but she didnt skip the episode where they talk about and show that.

Immeasurably Me

I feel like alicia def couldve watched this episode and just skippen the 30 second part that she doesnt like.

Immeasurably Me

It doesnt show anything and he doesnt even touch her before jotaro clocks him. Dio does way worse things in the show. This is absolutely just extreme avoidance and i dont have a problem with it just dont blow it out of proportion. It was gross but not explicit or anything worse than what the show shows anyways.

Immeasurably Me

Of course it's not "normal", don't straw-man me. I said it wasn't that bad, not that it was good or normal. If I remember correctly the monkey doesn't get very far or explicit in his harassment before Jotaro steps in. I just didn't think it was so bad a scene that skipping the episode was necessary, but it's fine that Alicia did, her choice, no problem.

Serith

The scene where the girl gets s*xually harassed by a monkey? Is that shit normal to you guys?

Olympus Games

Damn episode 7 was one of my favourites honestly So sad Alicia skipped it but I understand if it was too much for her

Karatsuki

Yeah, we're not old! Say sorry or no werther's original for you.

Joker33

"That's an old people thing, she's 30/29" I don't take offense to much but THAT I absolutely take offense to, dats rude and I am pressed.

Okoga

Which he is

CyberWolf300

It would've been hilarious if the li'l doll had dropped the short-circuiting hairdryer and it just shut off because that's how those things work.

Liesmith

Weirdo: "I let you find me and attack me on purpose!" Polnareff: "What an eccentric performance."

Liesmith

It's official. Among us is a Jojo's reference!

Lunair

WARE WARE NO NAKA NI (amungus)

Yagi di Hoshi

ITADAKIMASSSSSS~~~~

Yagi di Hoshi

I agree with this; this can only be interpreted as a personal issue.

Werguild

I'm still confused about what part of the episode was so bad it needed to be skipped ( I have seen it). That said, Ant did a good job with the recap so it's all good either way.

Serith

feel the amongus

Fullbuster Gaming

So how everyone could see it is it was an illusion made FROM a boat. It used something real as a base which is why it was made visible.

Zandorum

Thanks for the video

TrinitytheApostle

I was born in the deteriorating mental health, molded by it. I hadn't seen seratonin since I was a man and by then I was blinded

LampyLust

Don't push too hard as long as you're having fun we're having fun

Wait those ducks have guns

Most of the villainous Stands of Part III are based on horror movies. Tower of Gray? Alien (a Xenomorph mouth, fought in the cramped environment of a floating metal tube). Dark Blue Moon? Jaws (fought at sea, shark-like features, kills a shark to prove how dangerous it is). Strength? Death Ship (also, its user is a reference to Edgar Allen Poe's "The Murder in the Rue Morgue," which has the surprise reveal of a murderer being an orangutan mimicking human behaviors like shaving). And now Child's Play a.k.a. the first Chucky movie for Ebony Devil.

TyrianPurpleHaze

You are not the only one to have problems getting the bottom thing to disappear.

Kawaii Edgelord

Hahaha, glad it worked! There's a few really good AMOGUS copy pastas, like the one from the video where the guy's starts with "Stop posting about Among Us!"

Bastiwen

That is a dope copy pasta LOL I was like wait is this dude having an among us break down seems a little SUSSY!

aliciaxlife

I can't fucking take it. I see an image of a random object posted and then I see it, I fucking see it. "Oh that looks kinda like the among us guy" it started as. That's funny, that's a cool reference. But I kept going, I'd see a fridge that looked like among us, I'd see an animated bag of chips that looked like among us, I'd see a hat that looked like among us. And every time I'd burst into an insane, breath deprived laugh staring at the image as the words AMOGUS ran through my head. It's torment, psychological torture, I am being conditioned to laugh maniacly any time I see an oval on a red object. I can't fucking live like this... I can't I can't I can't I can't I can't! And don't get me fucking started on the words! I'll never hear the word suspicious again without thinking of among us. Someone does something bad and I can't say anything other than "sus." I could watch a man murder everyone I love and all I would be able to say is "red sus" and laugh like a fucking insane person. And the word "among" is ruined. The phrase "among us" is ruined. I can't live anymore. Among us has destroyed my fucking life. I want to eject myself from this plane of existence. MAKE IT STOP! Also +1 for everyone

Bastiwen

i know the blu ray says the underwear line

Mr. I Like Spam

I think Hulu messed up the subtitles for one line, unless it's the correct one and it's other versions that are wrong: as far as i know, Polnareff doesn't complain about getting his ankle injured while wearing dirty pants. He's actually going "maaaan, i just realized... i bandaged the wound with dirty underwear". Which makes plenty of sense. He risks infection by doing that!

mmg86

Ant, was that fucking Face/Off reference? Why? But I'm glad you were fair to episode 7, it's not that bad an episode if you can see past the creepy bits. I don't think the orangutan is ever named in the show but his official name is Forever after Wu-Tang Forever. "Soul Sacrifice" is originally named Devo the Cursed after the American band Devo. This time's tarot cards are Strength and The Devil. 11 Strength or Fortitude is sometimes swapped for card 8 which is usually Justice. Strength is usually depicted as a woman holding a lion and sometimes she has an infinity symbol above her head. The card represents strength but also things like courage, confidence and compassion. 15 The Devil is one of the few cards that are pretty much exclusively negative. It is depicted as the devil, usually with ram horns, harpy feet and bat wings and he stands above two demons, one male and one female. The card symbolizes abuse, violence, addiction, obsession, powerlessness, hopelessness, almost anything that's bad. It's not a card you want to see in your fortune reading.

Bob

Yeah it looks FANTASTIC!

aliciaxlife

We actually did! :D it kinda just fits the vibe of JoJo’s

aliciaxlife

The one thing I remember vividly from this episode was that epic tracking shot when the doll was running around chariot that one time, I still think that scene holds up even today

Convergeman

To give clarity on ep7 the monkeys name is forever its stand "strength" (thats its name) is a bound stand a stand that attaches itself to a regular object and upgrades it making it visible non users

Hollowjac

This episode is basically Chucky if it were actually scary. Also, the guy they call "Soul Sacrifice" (after the Santana song) in the subtitles is actually called Devo in the original. As in the synth band Devo. Alicia: "Mirrors are kind of OP in JoJo." Me, smirking evilly: "You have no idea." And yeah, Elvis did a boatload of drugs and ate a bunch of high fat foods as he got older and so he basically died when his heart gave out on the toilet.

James Gheen

What I remeber about Jotaro is that his greatest desire in the world is to seem cool

Verdigree

maybe even leave it on comic sans since it's meant to be easier to read for some people

Grei Glace

+1 Ant the CILF for being a lover of balls

Joey Cat

Great re-cap from the CILF, its by that episode where people start to enjoy Jotaros character more. that part at 24:10 man XD its true though, can't break whats already broken! You were quick with the Ebony Devil porn name queen hahaha! I can say with 100% confidence that I am not a supoorter of DILK XD. Although CILF, you may not be for DILK but clearly you are diggin those balls my good man. Thanks for the upload as always...AMONG US!

Joey Cat

I support Ant on the... subject.

Gore17

AMOGUS

Harper

At the end of the episode, I think the squad sees how the boat shrinks/ vanishes and it reveals it is in fact an actual boat.

Squ4reCac7us

Regarding episode 7, I think the reason the regular people are able to see the boat, is because the boat itself is real, just a really small boat, but the stand from the monkey makes it bigger. Maybe that's just my reasoning lol.

Squ4reCac7us

Viz media: for harder hearing listeners

Grei Glace

Damn. I guess a pedophilic Orangutan is a bit out there, even if seeing Jotaro beat it up was satisfying.

N00B

When polnareff calls her poor in the beginning of the episode the translation would be more akin to something like calling her a freeloader which is why they had that reaction

Secco Mode (Periwinkle)

JoJo has some of the weirdest laughs in all of anime.

Barnabás Mucsi

So in addition to what Ant was saying about Avdol’s comment, that seems like an early reason Araki had for this, but with the ship, this one, and the stand in the next one, these are the first examples of what’s called “Bound Stands,” which are stands bound to a physical object, such as after beating the monkey, the ship shrunk down into a little row boat.

Mr. 2Dirty

'not my best boys getting blown up like that' they are the best boys of this part REAL

joseph joestar's number one fan

STOPP the hulu bugs r killing me why am i laughing

joseph joestar's number one fan

joseph is very rich this whole part hes jsut been paying for everyone over and over again. bro

joseph joestar's number one fan

No +1 ant, we didn't hear it

Matthew B

Just to add to what Ant said about Avdol's comments on the ship being a Stand; seems like the given explanation was an early idea from Araki (the magaka), but as the series goes on, Stands can be visible an interactable with non-Stand users fairly commonly. 'Strength' is the name of the ship Stand and it is the first example of a 'materialized' or 'bound' Stand in the series.
