2023-01-09 02:11:00 +0000 UTCThey totally can harm themselves, just off the top of my head i can remember one instance later in Part 3, another in Part 4, another in Part 5, yet another in Part 7, and finally one in Part 8. Half of those intentional, the other half accidental. And also, let's not forget that the entire journey is to save Holly, whose own out of control Stand is killing her. What you are right about, however, is that sometimes users ARE immune to some aspect of their Stand, but that's a specific of their ability, an "anyone besides the user will suffer x effect if the requirements are met" clause.

2023-01-09 01:18:21 +0000 UTCJust pointing out that there are a few instances where characters do use their Stands to harm themselves: when they will gain something from it. But those cases are few and far apart, probably only 1 or 2 times in each Part.

2023-01-09 00:55:35 +0000 UTCNo Hol Horse didn't die because he made Emperor disappear which made the bullet disappear as well because the bullet is a part of his Stand. Enya litterally says it. Also no one ever said that Stands can't cause self-harm, it's just that no one tries because no Stand user in the serie is suicidal (I guess the guy with Highway to Hell is but that's a special case)

Oh well. By the way, don't know if you've caught it but the "ba" in "Enyaba", 婆, just means "old lady" so she's "Old Lady Enya" which is another music reference to Irish singer-songwriter Enya who's known for modern Celtic music.
