Sounds very familiar to many and Oda absolutely meant it to if you look further into the mirrors between it and certain countries. It's hardly the first country he's used as a base for the islands in One Piece and it likely won't be the last while the story is still ongoing. Ignoring that fact is up to you, of course, but it is a fact even if you don't agree with it.

This was especially strong with Vivy. And you saw a little bit of it in punk hazard with the crying kids that made her change her mind about helping. Despite the money grubbing, she'll reach out to damsels and babies. So, her wanting to help Pudding with no skepticism kinda matches.

Big Mom, Pudding and the rest of the BM crew is just so good and the arc as a whole is really good but most of all, she’ll love Big Mom and the intro for her is just so sick. Pudding as a character too, I think she’ll love her a lot as a character.

She obviously views the giants as an asset, as opportunity and not as equals. Hence what she does to a certain twin sister may reflect some of the anger and racial prejudice she inherently has.
