2025-06-30 12:31:59 +0000 UTCSo, American translation of a couple of these Korean kids games in this episode: The third game with the flipping and catching rocks is similar to Jacks (in my day, we played Jacks using metal Jacks, not plastic ones with safety tips. They were sharp sometimes, with those points on them.) The Spinning Top game was also similar to an older game in America with the same concept. Wind the string, whip it out, and make your top spin. However, in the American version, several did it at once, and whichever tops were spinning were left to spin and knock into each other. Last top spinning was the winner. The fifth game is very much like American Hacky-Sack (don't know the real spelling). You were allowed to use any body part to keep it in the air, except hands. Often it was feet and knees used, but I knew a guy in school who'd manage to get it higher and higher using parts of his body (hips, elbow, even his head). I was lucky to make three or four hits on my foot without messing up. I'm sure America had reasonably similar games for the first two, but I never played them so don't know. I was into Jacks, jump rope, and gymnastics, not really flipping things (would that have been like POGS?) or knocking things over with thrown stones.

2025-02-17 04:01:57 +0000 UTCThe Gong-gi is played by throwing five stones, pick one to throw in the air and pick up one stone at a time before it drops, next pick up 2 stones at a time, next pick up 3 and the odd one out, next sweep all 4, and finally the wrist flip to catch all five stones. The stereotype is that it's a girl's game, but me and my friends (all boys) played the shit out of it back in the 90's, making it quite an outdated stereotype.

2025-01-17 04:42:49 +0000 UTCHwang In-ho (Player 001) won the games as a player before. When his brother was going through the records in season 1, his name came up in the 2015 records as a winner.

2024-12-28 22:34:11 +0000 UTC18:57 In season 1 it showed he was the winner of the 28th Squid Games in 2020. 40:04 Absorption under the tongue is faster than the gums due to the saliva glans and it also doesn't affect the drug's effectiveness like it would if taken rectally
