Adventure Time 15-18 (S4)

I'm so happy its back!! :D

PB is like a wicked smart scientist that only sees the world through her work with science. If something is extremely important she's going to approach that with an entire presentation. Not to mention it sounded like she got to the important parts quickly so if they had listened for all of 30 seconds they would've known.

Emmie Maryam

been a while? hasn't it

Mathias Helmark

Thing is she isn’t fully a good guy, she’s very morally grey and neutral.

Backpack_Hermit

Fire resistant magic exists but she refuses to use magic because it "isn't real" She could def have found a solution to the whole problem but PB gotta' stick to her weird ass hatred towards magic for some reason

WillGlacier

You like two controversial characters. Right on brother! keep loving what you love

Fresh2000

I agree PB is a very interesting character, never know what she will do next. Some people don't like her because they believe that she goes too far for someone who is meant to be one of the good guys, which I understand but I like her as a character nonetheless

Fresh2000

Alicia would rather nuke the entire world than stop one teenager from have a romance, lol. stick to your morals, queen!

Kawaii Edgelord

the princess bubbblegum and flame princess situation is so bad

Gildarts1#fan

We're so close to some truly peak episodes this season (Edit: woah this implied that these episodes aren't already good lmao, what i mean is what is coming up is some of the best towards the end of this season)

Fresh2000

As annoying as Princess Bubblegum can be, I REALLY love her a lot. She's such a unique character and it's really refreshing to have a protagonist/good aligned character who has a lot of moments where she isn't 'the best' person. She has really well written flaws that makes her very unique and one of the biggest talking points, I can't say much else as it's spoilers on her backstory but I just LOVE her so much and how some of her actions feel so tyrannical sometimes but at that exact same time... I can understand quite a lot of her actions in other situations. Also she's hilarious istg. She's definitely a Lawful-Neutral alignment character and I really appreciate and respect her writing. She does what is best for her kingdom and OOO, even if it isn't the morally right thing.

Backpack_Hermit

While Adventure Time often features "monster of the week" villains, there are a few recurring antagonists. They reflect the classic conflicts, and they come in and out of their roles as those conflicts become important to Finn and our understanding of Finn. Ice King is first, he's the straightforward Man vs. Man antagonist. The Lich is the existential antagonist, the inevitable doom. PB is the emotional antagonist of the series. She is the villain of some of Finn's biggest emotional arcs. She represents maturity, but in an unhealthy controlling way. And she's one of the only characters *like* that in the land of Ooo, where whimsy rules the day.

Fake Name

look im kinda on PB's side here - who cares about one person's suffering if the alternative appears to be the entire world exploding, and she was right to have her locked up. She's a sociopath but she's right.

Martin Mcfly

SHE DID SAY THAT THEY DIDNT LISTEN! PB is awful but this was not on her

LittleMoist

Guys, im just ranting about the information the episode actually gives us. And also... even tho i say it's frutrating to try and fit this episode into the Timeline, it is clear that this was just a Retcon........ meaning that the writters took what happened at the end of "Evicted" (which was supposed to be just a joke) and turned it into the plot of a full episode, basically pretending that the end of "Evicted" never happened.

Julio Castillo

I wish my bedroom was as clean as magic mans house.

Easy Mode - A.I

You can see why people think Makima’s character has influence from Princess Bubblegum since Finn and Jake have some influence on Denji and Pochita

6CatsInAnAlley

I just see it as another instance King Worm breaking into their house rather than the first time because to be fair many characters break into their house all the time

6CatsInAnAlley

Completed

Michael

Dream logic doesn't have to make sense, I sometimes dream of old friends I've not seen in years, or old relationships that ended bad. Finn still having old feelings come back during a dream is valid.

Shadowsofpain

Are you speaking from a completed series POV or watchalong POV, as it stands the show is literally giving subtle hints to make you think this way.

Bocchi In Shadow

Sometimes I have dreams of futures whether it comes true or not. It's like I always have inbedded memories in my dreams that make things fit like a puzzle. It's possible Finn saw the future in these dreams because even mention of fears and relationships was in said dream. It's possible he doesn't remember the dream and just knows he wants to kick King Worm out.

Bocchi In Shadow

I never defend PB, I always say she's Makima-coded :) (Manipulation was in her kit from the very beginning) these 4 episode were peak though, and it only goes up this season I feel

Bocchi In Shadow

if she saw another human besides finn she would prob try to experiment on you. Like she does with all her citizens and people who aren't her citizens. She does a lot of fucked things to people from the fire lands for example. Typical "great scientist with no moral code" type You would be safest with finn and jake because they are chill like that. No way I am going to Candy north korea

WillGlacier

PB defenders are crying this reaction

WillGlacier

or, idk, try to actually find a solution to the problem? I swear people always go "errr let's just ignore it and hope it never turns bad" instead of going "well she might explode, so let's find a solution for that" Like magic exists, heat resistant magic too. If she actually believed in magic (which is wild that she doesn't like bitch look where you live) she could def make some permanent solution instead of just "lock her ass up for eternity"

WillGlacier

THANK YOU. So annoyed with the people defending her despite the writers literally NOT WANTING YOU to do it lmao (ngl, I think they just have a crush on her from when they were kids, on some Finn shit lmao)

WillGlacier

Fun Facts about the episodes: - This is the first time we see Magic Man since his debut episode "Freak City" in Season 1. - This is the Debut of Glob, alongside his 3 siblings... Grob, Gob and Grod. And in case you forgot... Glob is what the majority of the Characters in the Land of Ooo refer to when they talk about "God", like when they say "Oh my Glob!". So yeah... Magic Man's Brother is a God-like being. - Abraham Lincoln being the King of Mars is a reference to the Pilot episode of the show, where Finn (in the pilot his name is Pen) is transported to Mars and he meets with Abe there. - Same as LSP, Abraham Lincoln was voiced by the Creator of the Show, Pendleton Ward. - In the scene where Death takes away Abraham's inmortality you can briefly hear the sound of a Gunshot, this is obviously a reference to Lincoln's famous death in the real world. The cool part here is that it is implied that (in Adventure Time's lore) Abraham was indeed shot like how it happened in the real world, but when Death came for him... he tricked him into a deal that made Abe inmortal (how he became the King of Mars is a complete mystery tho). - Princess Bubblegum is the character with the most amount of outfit changes in the whole show, so yeah... you're gonna see her with a lot of awesome fits. - The episode "King Worm" it's very cool but also very frustrating, because it is really complicated to try and find out where does it fit in the Timeline. The episode itself it's supposed to be happening during Season 1, cuz that's when King Worm himself appears for the first time (his debut is at the end of the episode "Evicted" to be more specific, which is also Marceline's Debut episode), and during those times it would make sense for Finn to be dreaming about being married to Princess Bubbegum. But then the episode references things that happens later in the show, like Finn knowing and being scared of the Lich or him knowing Flame Princess... which is a reference to Seasons 2 and 3 respectively. That's why i say it is very complicated to fit this episode into the Timeline.

Julio Castillo

Princess Bubblegum is a terrible person but a great well written character.

Giddo

Yesss! i love this series!

Valkyrie

Yes, locking up Flame Princess is, ethically, not good, but if it's between getting locked up or the world ending, I'd choose the latter option too. course theres also the argument of just making sure she doesnt fall in love or anything.

Draconic

Her “management” almost exclusively targets candy citizens and enemies of the state. As a human in Ooo I would be safest in the Candy Kingdom as long as I took vacations during the holidays and wasn’t trying to undermine her rule. The next safest place would be the grasslands which is full of dangerous monsters that are only ever cleared out by Finn and Jake during their adventures.

unknown organism

So glad to see Adventure Time back. The show just goes wilder from here

sepiatone

Remember when we said that PB got worse? This, her locking up Flame-Princess, is what we meant, and this isn't even the worst of it.

Kent Peters

I like the fact that Adventure Time depicts a fairytale kingdom ruled by a princess that doesn’t shy away from the fact that maybe, just maybe, an autocratic ruler does some shady shit to keep everything running smoothly.

Steven Bermudez

Seems reasonable to keep the potential global threat locked up

Artemis

Really feeling that PB and Makima comparison with episode "Burning Low". Like, PB isn't AS bad as Makima but still.

Calixion Arts

And if you knew HOW she manages the "Safest" kingdom, you wouldn't wanna live there

WillGlacier

ngl, I like her only when she is with Marcy

WillGlacier

Tbh, I just dislike her character written wise. They set her up to be flawed on purpose (which makes sense) and yet their "Redemption" of her is getting some pussy (Marceline) and realizing she was a bad person, but NEVER DOING ANYTHING ABOUT IT. Could go into a lot of the bad things she does and could fix/ stop doing, but that would be spoilers so I won't And I get liking her but I hate when PB fans say "nooo she isn't evil! She is misunderstood!" When the writers literally ADMITED THAT THEY WROTE HER TO BE EVIL (for said redemption which was lackluster in my opinion) (I do love her and Marcy together tho, cute af)

WillGlacier

As someone who likes PB the amount of hate she gets is weird, there are times where she is in the wrong and disliking her is warranted but how much people hate her is unwarranted in my opinion. And with Flame Princess I really don’t think what she did was wrong. Was there a better way? Maybe. But if someone could destroy the world for catching feelings it’s very reasonable to lock them up.

Michael

She’s managing one of the only safe kingdoms in the middle of a post-apocalyptic wasteland full of monsters and doomsday devices. If anything she’s becoming surprisingly lax.

unknown organism

To be fair, PB literally showed up with a diagram to explain exactly what would happen, which she did, and probably just assumed that Jake listened and explained it to Finn like he said he would. Her later conversation with Finn read to me as her trying to console him after Jake let him down with the news.

unknown organism

It's back let's fucking goooo!

Accel

that last episode always gave me nightmares as a kid :(

Chris Foley

PB is my second favorite character in the show, after Magic Man of course. People are weird about her

criket

Yay!

xxDrain

Oh yeah, the Princess PB stuff only gets worse. She's a great character but a lot of the stuff she does is quite sickening of a ruler.

DJSkywalker

FINALLY, ANOTHER ADVENTURE TIME REACTION! I'm glad you waited for legal means to watch it, this show is too good to pirate. And that's coming from someone that loves pirating media

LordNiffy02

Nvm we’re back!
