At least as importantly, Jinwoo knows EXACTLY how dangerous Baek is, while he is himself a complete unknown. If it was a straight fight I might agree, but in this situation? He'd probably kill Baek in self-defense before Baek even realized he needed to get 100% serious if he's going to attack this random "E-rank" hunter. Their objectives in a fight (if it happened right there) would have ended it before it even started. Baek just wanted to intimidate him into talking; Jinwoo would be defending himself against a mortal threat from the start. Also, he's hiding because he consistently underrates the difficulty of his own achievements post-system, as well as out of an abundance of caution. And obviously, he's already realizing that's unnecessary/impossible to maintain much longer.

I wouldnt mind them cutting that but its so weird that they have the sword in the background alot like they were going to do the scene just to not do it.

It's why him getting trapped in the red gate was so lucky, because it saved him from getting stomped by that S-rank from America. They kind of skipped over it a bit in the anime, but the gaps between ranks is massive. It takes like 10 hunters to beat a hunter of the next rank up. The scale also doesn't apply to S-rank hunters because S is just the rank they use when a Hunter's power become too much to measure.

Also Song Yi used to use the honorific for an elder, meaning to call him old, but after the red gate she decided to use the correct honorific for him, which didnt translate into japanese. The honorific that she used to use is ajhussi, which is common when talking to an older individual and in the light novel was used as a slightly disrespectful way of addressing him, but afterwards she started addressing him as oppa, which translates to older brother, meaning she has more respect for him now.

White Tiger leader could have easily beaten the answers out of him but he realised what they have gone through just now and immediately apologized even though Jin Woo acted out of place in that moment

So far he's got 30 or so soldiers, around 20 bears, the leader of the bears, igris (possibly S-rank) and now iron - an A-rank tank class hunter. Sure after he lost his mind he went all crazy and tried to kill them but he was not all evil and was just trying to survive

2025-01-12 18:06:32 +0000 UTCAlso the time they used to do the replay effect they could of used to show Jinwoo moving the sword closer to hunter Kim to set him up to attack him when he came to because he really wanted an excuse to kill him and see if he could use arise on a strong hunter. He was essentially leaving it up to Kim. "If he attacks I will kill him and try it out if he doesn't I'll get a chance some other time" is essentially how he reconciled it morally.
