Kitchen Nightmares 1x11

THIS IS WILD

Comments

Imagine going home from work and telling your partner “hey honey, we should check out this restaurant that Dee Snider told me about”

Where I live in Switzerland, fondues (so the cheese ones as well as the meat ones) are very popular dishes (since we invented some of them) and it's even a thing to have them at restaurents for special occasions. Many people go out on New Years eve to have a meat fondue wether it's one with hot oil (fondue Bourguignonne), hot pot style, or hot wine (fondue bacchus).

Bastiwen

But at least she was honest right? lol

KingofYokai

i’m sick with the flu rn and not to sound parasocial but i really appreciate getting to watch your content i hope you’re dentist thing goes well

Emmanuel Suttles

he got a chefs table reservation at petrus

Lance Ivy

For the record, she absolutely should have been fired ages ago, but that IS the owner's responsibilities

So I just want to point out there was no mention of *how* Melissa approached them for the job, or how much she pushed for it. Yea he said there was other applicants but who says any of them were any better? In my experience on the job market, you don't apply to just any individual job that you burn for, cause normally there *isn't* that many. You send out numerous applications, to anything you think you can handle "decently" enough. Not everyone has many options, but everyone needs some way to earn cash to literally survive. Some more urgently than others. I agree she probably stuck around longer than she maybe should have, but if she hasn't had opportunity or cause to look for something else until that moment... Yea you can't really fault her that hard for staying somewhere she can actually earn money.

FInal response be like: Dude, check out this new restaurant, it's sick, the cleaners there clean, the chefs cooks, and the food is food!

Kilin Oof

so one thing that makes this show so great is gorden is so good and so knolagible that when he reads a menus he can tell what is the easiest dish to fuck up bad so he knows what to order to see the worst of a kitchen

Lance Ivy

nooo you hire people and contrubute the community your way better than a parcidic landlord

Lance Ivy

true, but no matter how tough, a sneaky baseball bat to the back of the head ends the fight rather quick

Cat on Crack

Yeah that honestly kinda pissed me off, the fact Alicia just assumes 100% that not only was she drunk, but that she was drunk driving. Like, that's really not cool just to assume that, all because she sounded a little odd. Maybe she was very emotional in that moment given everything going on.

Bike culture is really big on Long Island, and Bike clubs tend to have specific bars they hang out at (and thereby get a ton of business from them). It makes more sense as a reopening event in the region than it sounds.

That description wasn't kidding, this one was WILD. I feel overstimulated after watching this one D:

Joey245

Billy died?... its haunting knowing we are watching a dead man

Memento Forever

if buddy actually worked construction at all i can guarantee that hes been talked to like this and worse LOL

Bolo The Wise

Exactly this.

Alicia really just claimed the wife was drunk with zero evidence and went off on a rant about it. You ever think she sounds the way she does because she just learnt her husband is trying to throw everything away and maybe she’s cried and her accent doesn’t help. The wife was maintaining eye contact perfectly with Gordon. I hate when people make a baseless claim and treat it as fact with no evidence.

Advertising with a biker event in an area with a large biker population makes sense. The biker community is very tight-knit and they're all about loyalty, so if you do right by them, you can get a large amount of regular customers. They're also very social and will spread the word to others in their clubs.

Graxdon

the funny thing about the baseball bat threat is that even if he actually tried to attack Gordon, Gordon would wipe the floor with him in a fight, bat or not, Gordons a genuinely tough guy

Vegvisir92

Second this.

Robert Collard

Love for you to see Mama Cherie's Soul Food Shack. It's a UK episode so it's got a different vibe but still very entertaining and had the most wholesome owner ever. Literal Angel.

Jonathan Canfield

After this Serie i would love if she starts Culinary Class Wars. Its so Good, would be worth it

MG

i don't think honest is the word chat was looking for to describe the chef. it's moreso that at least she doesn't have delusions about being a great chef when she isn't

NickAsNickName

That man has a horseshoe mustache not a handlebar mustache. The handlebar mustache curls up on the end like Wyatt Earp's. I have to "um actually" this because I really like the handlebar mustache and people get it confused with Hulk Hogan's stash all the time.

So after a year gorden revisted and the walk in was immaculate and Melissa made him a filet and Gordon said it was much better than the one he had the first visit so she very clearly started to care. I say this because i think chat was way too mean when there has been far worse on the show so far than her.

Mr I Like Spam

Hope you will do Hotel Hell after this ! Might be a little outside if your professional wheelhouse but I believe most have a restaurant section. It has some great moments .
