I really can't recommend AniNews' Cut Content series enough for anyone looking for the stuff that gets glossed over

2025-02-04 14:15:57 +0000 UTCOne thing from the manwha/LN that didn't get covered here actually explains a lot about the chairman is that on top of his position as the chairman and him being the first and strongest S-Rank he is also part of the National Assembly which is a role somewhere between being a Senator or Cabinet member so getting a meeting with him is a REALY big deal. Also the Chairman's health is deteriorating so much so that his doctors are telling him it's a miracle he's still walking and that he should retire/take a break but he can't because of the balance that he mentioned with the other guilds as there was no one who could be his successor until Jinwoo came along. Additionally, Jinwoo's comment about wanting to fight really resonated with him because by the time he awakened he was in his late 60s to early 70s and therefore too old to actually participate in any raids and was immediately pulled into admin work.

2025-01-26 21:44:41 +0000 UTCI'm reading the comic alongside the anime, it is almost frame for frame perfect, almost every shot is the exact same, every piece of dialogue that is integral to the story is there save for potential translation issues and such. Stuff they're not including is what would be considered bloat for a show, in a comic it works really well for paneled art, but for animated media you can't be filling every single thing in from the comic, what they've brought over is insane for the quality, much less the passion of the comic. I would love to know what you think they're skipping that is ruining the story honestly because I haven't caught like anything.

Lord knows they only have so much time to make something look this good and stay so true to the piece.

I do NOT wanna wait like 3 or so years because they wanted to add extra scenes (mainly talking about the people complaining over smaller shit like them not showing the mage shadow using the orb or iron dragging a head, like it's cool but who cares?)

I imagine there are some changes of course to remove standard comic fluff and maybe some translation issues, but this is still overall a perfect port. Love this!

There was also a cute moment before Rizzwoo got re-evaluated with other 2 dudes waiting for their evaluation and one of them wanted to get atleast C-rank to see his little daughter again. Kinda sad they cut out the small moments but of course its technically not plot-important

Instead of it being "if you don't, even death won't save you from me" the line was "you will never rest in peace, even in death" which could've been interpreted as the same kind of threat, but could also suggest it was a warning. That he knows exactly what his son would do to him if they fought, and he literally wouldn't be able to rest in peace.
