You know, being one of the younger people in Alicia's audience its crazy that she mentioned not watching this movie in the last 22 years, and that's older than I am, but I also remember watching this movie on vhs. We might still have a copy of it, but its probably in a box somewhere.

Some of Saddles' material hasn't aged well, but even then I think Alicia will understand it was a different time. Honestly I expect her biggest challenge will be editing it for Youtube standards

Blazing Saddles, Men in Tights, Young Frankenstein, etc. They are absolute icons of classic comedy. Slight disclaimer, Saddles is a parody that overtly makes fun of racists and racism, so it's not exactly politically correct by modern standards. Come to think of it, there's also spaceballs which is a star wars parody, so you've recently acquired the context for that one.

2025-02-09 07:01:31 +0000 UTCWasn’t happenstance, Antz was made by Dreamworks, which was made up of people who left Disney due to creative differences I believe, so Dreamwork’s Antz was in direct competition with Disney Pixar’s Bug’s Life. It was also one of the earliest Dreamwork’s films, and look how far they’ve come since then.

For some reason, the disney plus version only has the one set, and some are edited out. The one in Toy Story 2 of Stinky Pete talking to two of the Barbie dolls is completely missing from the Disney Plus version of the credits.
