All Starfish are dumb, and the shenanigans in this episode were caused by it. I don't take on board any of the mean spirited-ness, so I'm still able to enjoy it as an episode. :)

2025-02-05 19:09:41 +0000 UTCI just realised that the solution that Spongebob had in Procrastination to complete his essay is exactly something I did in school back then. We were supposed to write an essay in english class with free choice of topic and then present it in front of class. Since I always have been procrastinating I still didnt have a topic the day before class, until I got the idea to make the procrastination itself and my struggle with it the topic. Its fun seeing it mirrored here xD

2025-02-05 18:33:30 +0000 UTCPatrick wasn't an awful friend before this episode. There are numerous examples of Patrick being a good friend before this moment. Like literally speaking up against GOD himself for his friend. IMO, this episode committed character assassination of the WORST kind and ultimately damaged the image of Patrick not just in the eyes of the viewer, but in the eyes of the SpongeBob writers themselves.
