Invincible Episode 3x1

YAY first 3 episodes of the new season!!

Comments

This series is *literally* centered on an adolescent trying to balance having powers and reconciling his heritage while also trying to have some semblance of a normal life. Why wouldn't you expect teenage drama? Also, the complaint about physics doesn't make sense. It's a show about superheroes and superpowers. It sounds like this isn't the show for you, and that's fine. You don't need to force yourself to enjoy something, for any reason.

Dreadnought

I want to like this show, and I do like some parts of it. But the inconsistent powers, total disregard for physics and teenage drama is hard to sit through.

xxDrain

You say it's different when invincible or darkwing killed people( even though both of them killed someone no matter what you think) If invincible killing amstrong is justified cause he did it to save his mom and stepbro, then why are the two rehabilitated guys who could be out there saving numerous people (which they showed the capacity of doing when they saved the heroes this episode) seen as cecil being a prick or an asshole?

Azel !!

Envenomed?

DrawgoNaut

Cecil is a dick for sure, but I'm not sure he "Caused" this. How was he supposed to know seismic could communicate with giant creatures at the center of the earth without all his fancy gear? Definitely an oversight, but that was kind of out of nowhere

Brandon Creek

Rex has come a long way. I guess getting shot in the head really changes somebody.

Aliulo

an absolutely perfect summation of everything that just transpired here

Ellerian

Well done on the vague comment and not spelling having right. What nuance in particular, that Cecil’s also in the wrong, the unfairness in Mark’s forced obligation to the world, or Debbie and Mark’s desire for Oliver (and Mark) to have a normal life? Because none of those things change the fact that Mark has anger issues he needs to get under control and that he’s a literal living weapon.

Sam Brown

holy shit I was drinking 7up soda when alicia said white face and now it burns like hell in my nose.

vincent shiflett

Eve is one of the most mature characters in the show.

Joel Sasmad

yo I missed that. that's fucking hilarious thank you. I forgot he was Abe

vincent shiflett

Eve taking her dad's advice is good, cause often when an asshole gives good advice it's difficult to take, but the point of growth is being able to accept advice from bad or rude people without letting it make you feel like you are caving to their demands. (It's tough and it often feels frustrating when you do the task cause you feel angry at them and the task) Edit I'm speaking from personal experience about this.

Speed1247

Well done on not haveing any nuance on the situation, buddy

Curtis Murphy

That is a FANTASTIC way of wording & summarizing the complex issues at play here, well done.

Serpentking789

I believe the word is "envenomation" or "envenomated".

Serpentking789

Not knowing what it's called when you're hit with venom bothered me in a weird way, so I immediately needed to pause to google it.

Alex Carriere

Ugh, and Debbie too. “Control, there’s that word again” like shut the fuck up, your kids can destroy the planet, yes they need self control, not just moreso than every other kid on the planet, but moreso than every other superhero on the planet. It just gets under my skin how sanctimonious they’re acting when they’re blatantly ignoring the very real risks and issues at hand.

Sam Brown

i love Immortal going "WHAT?" when hearing the declaration of independence got stolen...

Nick

doc seismic was never implied to have been reformed. Cecil is completely right. Marks being a child.

Rinnzu Rosendale

Mark is so frustrating in these episodes. I get he's 19 and can't help his head being partially up his own ass, but Mark just fought Angstrom, whose whole motivation is that Mark went full evil in thousands of other timelines, and he STILL thinks Cecil went too far?

Sam Brown

There is a fundamental divide between Cecil and Mark where Mark is a guy with near god-like powers who has to have near perfect morals or people will die. Meanwhile Cecil is a man facing near god-like forces who cannot let morality hold him back or people will die. Both are heroes trying to protect the earth, but their positions are so fundamentaly opposed to each other that conflict is an inevitablility, and when they fight everyone loses.

Joel Sasmad

I'm more or less on Cecil's side. Yes, he's hiring people that have done fucked up things, but we have a Viltrumite invasion happening soon and we need as many villains helping us as possible, especially ones who can mass produce cannon fodder (Sinclair) and ones who could potentially kill/hold their own against Viltrumites (Darkwing 2.0, I'd imagine Cecil is trying to find out the phone number for the lion guy from S1 as well).

Cyric Sherburne

envenomated

Mario Alexander

Doc seismic was not under Cecil’s reform list. You’re mixing him up with Sinclair, the guy who made the robo-zombie guys. In that instance, it wasn’t his fault. It’s not black and white with Cecil, but it’s hard to be mark when HE has all the power.

Marcello Reyes

I mean I see both sides from Cecil and Debbi, but I really understand Cecil as he is just trying to do what's best with what limited power they have

Icy

YIPPEEE I WAS WAITING ALL DAY FOR THIS

《æ đůđę 》

YOOOOO LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOO
