This may be really nice to know, but in the manga, Pound actually does get to see both Lola and Chiffon and gets to tell them who he is. They welcomed him with open arms :)

And this isn't a spoiler since it is only shown in the cover stories so yeah, somehow Pound survived and reunited with Chiffon and Lola which is nice and all but still, it was kind of a jerk move to do that in a character like that.

To anyone not in his family, he'll use every trick in the book, no matter how underhanded - exactly what you'd expect from a mafioso coded pirate. But to his family, he'll do what it takes to keep them safe.

2025-02-11 19:06:46 +0000 UTCI will always have a deep appreciation of characters whose power is "Throw more Minion at my Enemy". And it is fun to see it be used on the Protagonist side. But exactly this. The guy just constantly goes up against things way above his weight class (Which is pretty high, seeing that he is a Castle), because that is just the sort of life he is all about. Also because they messed with his family. Bege is perhaps the member of the Worst Generation I can most believe is an actual contender for Pirate King, outside of Luffy. Between his closeness to his Crew, his insane audacity and just his "It ainΒ΄t over til I hear the bell ring and I am deaf, bitch" drive.

2025-02-11 19:00:50 +0000 UTCOne thing i like of him and his crew is that he is on level of the worst gen and most of that crew is usopp/nami-power level, meaning they arent big monster fighters like zoro and sanji, they are mostly basic henchman and even bege without his castle powers isnt a great fighter, he uses guns and at most some basic observation haki for the aiming. And still is on the worst gen because he does outplan his enemies on a Joseph joestar level of outsmarting

I will say, as a day 1 Bege fan, I am deeply thankful for this arc, for actually giving me something to point to when people ask me why I like him. Instead of just going "I just think he is neat. What I fucking love about him the most, is that the show treats him as Luffy sometimes. He gets to have the dramatic entrance. He gets to have the insane plans. He gets to just go full devil may care, and charge at the bad guys. It really makes him feel much more of an equal to Luffy, as a fellow member of the Worst Generation.
