Meaning unless they agree on a price, hulk is never getting a solo movie and is also a reason he appears the least in other movies. It's why so much of his development happens off screen.

I feel the problem lies with people who consider strong women as "woke" despite the long history of them in these movies. Thors friends dying is fitting with the theme of loss. Started with his father, then hammer, then friends, then world. It is the spiral that was Ragnarok.

2025-02-25 21:32:18 +0000 UTCAs I mentioned, it swerved too far from the source material for me, I know they weren't following it completely from the start, but here is when it just feels like it was too far off...again for me. I lost all faith I had with Taika when he went online to "own the chuds" and posted, "I'll ruin your mythos in a minute, baby.", just showed me he cared more about making the movie he wanted instead of following along the path these stories were going and more importantly respecting the source material, after that I rewatched this movie it just shows he can't be bothered to take these movies seriously, Love and Thunder is just Ragnarok cracked to 11 and without a path to follow, if that makes sense. To me, this was the start because at this point they still had a story, having too much content after Endgame wasn't a problem, it was the lack of a logical end to every story, because since the MCU started they always had one, the first movies were about getting to the Avengers, after that was setting up and getting to the infinity saga, after that...it just felt like they kept the train going after reaching the last stop, hopefully Fantastic Four gives us a new story arc to follow, but I don't want to post anything on here that might be spoilery

And, broadly speaking, I like the idea of playing around with different styles and tones across the various entries in the MCU. There's going to be some hits and some misses, sure, but it keeps everything from becoming too rinse-and-repeat. However, I really do feel like Ragnarok was lightning in a bottle (haha) and not something easily recaptured. And Love and Thunder instantly wiped out the good will Taika Waititi build with Ragnarok. As for going downhill, I think Marvel overplayed their hand. Post-Endgame there was too much content coming out too fast, with an emphasis on quantity over quality, which I think led to an overall sense of franchise burnout. There's been a bit of a break now, a chance for Disney/Marvel to regroup, rethink, and rebuild. I'm cautiously optimistic about Fantastic Four.

They can't release a Hulk movie without Universal's approval. At least with Spider-Man, Sony has been a willing, capable, and profitable partner (not counting all of the spinoff movies which have been....questionable at best).

With this movie, Mark Ruffalo started doing the voice too and he couldn't get it as deep so they needed to edit it. It really doesn't sound good at times. Which is why I imagine they went the Smart Hulk angle.

2025-02-24 20:49:25 +0000 UTCI got a love/Hate relationship with this movie. On one hand itâs a solid entry to the mcu and great film overall. On the otherhand they completely shit on one of the best hulk movies/comics. The gladiator fights, Sakaar, Korg, miek; all things from the comic and animated film planet hulk that takes place after earth deemed him too dangerous and shot him into space. In planet hulk, hulk liberates Sakaar and becomes its new just ruler with a queen and child on the way. One of the few times we see hulk happy, and all of this is cannon to the main marvel timeline so it could have been live action. But I understand why they didnât go all in (fuck you she hulk) but they did character assassinate Korg which is my main problem with the film. Comic and animated Korg was such a wise and tragic character becoming one of hulkâs trusted friends. In this heâs just the stupid comedic relief. Heâs a fun character but he should have been an original not an adaptation of a preexisting. Well thatâs my Ted talk for the day TLDR great film terrible adaptation Watch âplanet Hulkâ

Not to say that Thor itself isn't a goofy character, but I never felt Hemsworth was the right kind of goofy for Thor, and may have been more of a visual typecast. It's pretty frustrating at times to watch something as well done as Winter Soldier where everything is taken seriously, and then thor can't let much happen without some form of quip or joke (which is a pretty common complaint with marvel the longer the MCU went on)

He did very well for himself becoming the number 1 gladiator, eventual leader, and even got himself a wife. At least that is the comic series where this gladiator world concept was taken from. They aren't really the kind of movies I would ever expect to see get reacted to here. But, if there is a list somewhere of some rainy day reacts, I'd love to see a reaction for one them. I recommend Boy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople, or Jojo Rabbit. It's a completely shelfish wish but I think Alicia, especially with her character writing geek-out momments, would have some really cool takes on.

Supposedly, Thor: Ragnarok was supposed to be the final Thor film; however, with the film's popularity and success, Disney convinced Hemsworth to sign up for two more Thor films. Ragnarok is my favorite Thor film. Where as the prior two felt more like, "we're defending the world from evil," Ragnarok felt more like a viking adventure through other worlds. Plus, it really distinguishes that no, the Avengers never had an opportunity show up, unlike other films where one questions, "this guy is evil and going to destroy the world? Why don't the other Avengers show up?"

It's a good movie but when I look at it from the comic book reader's perspective which I am. I've read a lot of comic books. The comic books that this movie is based off of it changes so much and gets so much wrong that it pisses me off. For example, the world they are on is not supposed to be full of trash. This is supposed to be the planet sakaar with the red king not the grand master where the Illuminati Tony Stark Doctor strange Black bolt Mister fantastic All agreed to shoot the Hulk in the space. Because he's too dangerous. He sees the message, gets angry and and causes the ship to go off. Trajectory and to the planet sakaar Where he gets captured and becomes a prisoner who has to fight everyday to survive. And eventually he starts to rebelliand against The red king. fights wins and becomes the new King of the planet. Example number 2 Thor is the God of thunder and lightning. How's the little zippy zippy thing on his neck supposed to affect him? The dude his whole body gets covered in lightning whenever he uses it and yet he could be stunned by a little taser That makes no sense. I'm just saying there's a lot of things that don't make sense in this movie that they get wrong. Hulk is not supposed to be as stupid as he is in. This movie. Hulk is a lot smarter in the comics than he is in any of the movies. They get the planet wrong. They get the ruler of sakaar wrong it's supposed to be the red king not the grand master and they get Thor's weakness wrong. Yeah, Thor his weakness is electricity no it's not Dude is the God of thunder and lightning. Are you kidding me. Not to mention they do the Hulk. So dirty in this movie like Hulk is actually like scientifically has been proven to be stronger than Thor even in the comics. He's stronger than Thor like they always make it a tie between Thor and the Hulk and no one ever wins between the 2 cause. They don't want to piss anyone off but if you look at their feet of strength hulk Has done stuff in terms of strength that thor doesn't even come close to. Like literally in the comics that this movie is very loosely, based on. This planet the planet that they are on in This movie Sakaar gets blown in half so it's getting destroyed. It's splitting down the middle and Hulk jumps into the core of the planet grabs the tectonic plates and smashes them back together, holding the planet in one piece. Another time Hulk got so angry that with a single step. He almost sunk all of Manhattan into the ocean. Then, in another comic, thor had the odin force and Hulk had unleashed a gamma bomb. That turned Thor into a odin Force powered gamma, powered (Thor/hulk) That destroyed the byfrost and lifted the world Tree and hulk still beat his ass. And that wasn't even the most powerful version of Hulk that we've seen in the comics. I just get pissed off in these movies. How much they nerf the Hulk And how little research they do on the comic book that they're originating these movies from. And at another point, Hulk beat black bolt into oblivion. Like if you know anything about blackbolt, he can whisper and it will kill you. He didn't whisper to Hulk. He talked to him normally and then Hulk was like I didn't come here to hear you talk. I came to hear you scream. And at another point they had to have one of the strongest superhero in Marvel. Comics, a guy named Centurion, who has the power of a million exploding Suns. who's like the Superman of Marvel Comics, face World War Hulk, and it was a draw. They beat each other until they were both laying on the ground.

I'm anecdotally sharing my experience which of course is different from yours. I also live (I assume) in a different country, so the reception might've been different in the general public too. This is not an argument. It's quite interesting, in fact, seeing the different reception it had. The only thing I was surprised about and might argue against is "the first movie that had quirks and humor" - I really cannot see that, especially after two Guardians of the Galaxy, Doctor Strange, and basically all the movies with Tony Stark in it. But again, it's probably a subjective thing I guess.

I think what youâre referring to is Thor love and thunder where they tried to do Ragnarok again but for some reason, completely missed the mark because they forgot what exactly made this movie so great it wasnât the humor or the action or the story or any of that independently. It was all of those things perfectly balanced and blended when they started going full on humor with nothing else thatâs when it kind of lost its way, but this was the pinnacle of Marvel movies.

Gods I hate Korg butting in when there's a big dramatic moment of Asgard being destroyed, I really did not need a joke there. I hated that so freaking much I cannot express it in words. I was never a fan of him even when I was little and read a comics cause I use to love traditional chants and leyends of nordic mitology that my father told me as bednight stories (yeah. he is weird) and all I could think watching and reading Marvel Thor is "this is not Thor". Even ignoring the design, his actitude is more fitting of a Greek god than a Nordic one. Thos is suposed to be a funny, violent, drunk goofball that likes women, drink, battling and going to war like there's no tomorrow, but nor because it has to be a cause, just because he loves the action of fighting itself

Also, I really like how the tone changed from Thor 1 & 2. Thor's been hanging out with people like Tony and Jane for a while. Of course their sense of humour and relaxed attitude would rub off on him. Plus, he was already a bit of a goof before.

2025-02-23 12:35:24 +0000 UTC26:10 I can't for a minute understand people who get mad about that. it's an entry point for people- exactly how super smash bros was the entry in to fire emblem for MILLIONS of people.... sure Marvel is an established system already.... but with rivals it takes you a minute to get into character selection and able to see these characters....

The destruction of the gods and their world. It carries with it a heavy loss, and I don't think some people like how much was destroyed here. Oh. Also bonus points for Thor to do that Raiden Mortal Kombat jump spin. That made me cheer.
