so true!

Drago the dragon pokemon

I wore goggles but not a helmet while sledding and now I'm really glad I never had an accident. Actually my parents did have me wear a helmet when they saw me sledding without it.

fuck that my adhd brain won't read that

Funny enough, I used to love going tobogganing a lot in the winter as a kid (it's basically the same thing as sledding, but the things you ride on are much smaller/thinner and more lightweight than traditional sleds), and from what I remember, NONE of the kids ever wore helmets, including me! NGL that is rather concerning now that I think about it. Although IDK if it's just incredible luck, but not only have I never gotten injured while tobogganing, but I've never seen a single kid ever land on their head or receive any kind of head injury while sliding down the hills during recess. In fact I've rarely ever seen any kids get injured. IDK if it was because those particular hills behind the school were smooth and safe enough, or if tobogganing is safer than sledding and injuries are less likely to occur, or if all those kids were just lucky, or a mix of all the above?... I think I've seen maybe 1 or 2 tobogganing injuries within all my years of elementary school. The worst one I've seen was when a kid stupidly sprinted and jumped off the top of the hill (like a plane building up speed on a runway before takeoff), quickly lifted his legs and put his toboggan under hit butt while in mid-air, and then landed halfway down the hill on his butt so hard he broke his tailbone! It was pretty bad, but it was mostly caused by the kid just being stupid rather than unsafe sliding conditions (didn't help that none of the kids' parents were there since it was at school). The only other time I remember seeing a tobogganing accident happen at school was when some asshole kid purposely rammed into another kid standing at the bottom of the hill (completely unaware of what was about to happen). But that little shit got a taste of karma upon impact, cause his toboggan hit the kid in the ankles causing him to fall down backwards and land on the little bastard. NTM the kid was a bit chubby/overweight so when his butt landed on the bully it squashed him pretty good. Thankfully no kids broke any bones this time, though they did have some nasty bruises from the collision. Eventually a teacher or EA had to step in and supervise the tobogganing during recess to make sure no kids get hurt or do anything stupid again. I mostly tobogganed normal and safely, though I did try something a little stupid once (but not nearly as bad as the run & jumper who broke his tailbone), where a friend and I reenacted a scene from Total Drama Island, where the sled driver was blindfolded, and I was the navigator sitting behind him and shouting at him to steer right or left. We both fell off the sled, but luckily neither of us got hurt. We thought the idea of it was fun, but we both knew it wasn't a good idea to try it again (especially not with me as the blindfolded driver, since my friend wasn't as good at navigating as I was. XD) Sorry bout that long ramble, just felt like sharing that little story in relation to what Alicia talked about regarding sledding.

i wish i could experience sledding one day

Gildarts1#fan

I personally disagree i would snowball fight, In Australia it doesn't snow where i live so if it did I'm enjoying every second of the snow XD

"If there's any little ones around you put a helmet on them" Hmm... The thought of a guy running around putting a helmet on every random child he comes across is as weird as it is amusing... Oh well as our queen commands, time to buy a lot of helmets xD

BewearKing64

I have never seen or heard of anyone sledding with a helmet in my life before, but that makes sense

Some of my absolute favorites! I mean, my Steam profile is still nicknamed Smitty Werben Jaegerman Jensen to this day

Lucas_Oreki

That's exactly what it's like when you upload 10 double episodes of One piece at once. I'm like 100 episodes behind cuz I can't keep up XD

It's one thing if you are going down a mountainside with all kinds of tree's and stuff. But if you are just going down a modest open hill with only soft snow I doubt there is a huge need. Really depends where you are doing it at.

ChaosSepher

A must watch.

You know, if you have a good heart and your rage hits a certain point, you could turn Super Saiyan! 😅

Chamoun101

For the helmet stuff while sledding I think the biggest reason people don't like I've never seen anyone do it, is because of the culture we aren't taught to as its never shown to be dangerous or anything like riding a bike.

Icy

Its more how i feel when you upload a movie then go live 20 minutes later so i didnt have time to watch it

Craig

Not every hill is made of pure snow. Sometimes, there's stuff hiding under the snow.

N00B

Seriously what happened to being less present this week

Ranginald Vagel

This Mr. Krabs episode reminded me, is the episode "Mid-Life Crustacean" on Paramount Plus? It was banned from TV because there's a part where he and Spongebob and Patrick go on a panty raid....I am not kidding.

SonicStantz

Who puts a helmet while sledding. That's only necessary for bigger hills.
