What happened to Scott was a tragedy, he lost his sister and niece to a battle that was out of his control, and it broke him. Unfortunately, any sympathy I had for him ended there, because at the end of the day, I don't think he really cared for all the people who died in that attack. He only cared for two names and all he really wanted was to have his feelings of hatred and sorrow validated. (and revenge of course) He worked at the GDA, it's the scene where he was watching a video of Noland pushing Mark into that train that really made it clear. There was no way to look at that video and think Mark was an aggressor, that's why he put his face into his hands. The video contradicted what he wanted to believe. He wants his hatred for Invincible to be validated, it mattered so much to him that he was willing to sabotage an event about honoring those who lost their lives in that very incident. If he really cared about the people who died alongside those he knew personally, he would have fought back more against this idea. Eve called it out when she entered that scene, she said this wasn't about him. This is also why no matter what Invincible said he would misconstrued it in a way to validate his hatred. His wife didn't help things she fed into his hatred and pushed him more and more and by the end of it, her and her son were killed, not by Invincible but by Scott. Personally, I wish some character did call him out on it since Mark wasn't in the headspace to do that. Scott is now the kind of villain that can't be fixed, now he needs this hatred for Invincible, otherwise he'll realize he's become the monster who killed his wife and baby, all to satisfy himself.

2025-03-05 19:44:30 +0000 UTCHonestly everything was on her. He was just a tool. If he had given up when he wanted to be woul've gotten away with a minor prison sentence and possibly a job as a superhero with his wife and child still alive. But she wanted vengeance on Mark so she kept using him which ultimately ended with her and jack dying. I consider him a victim too via being manipulated to keep fighting despite wanting to stop.

2025-03-04 22:50:33 +0000 UTCOn one hand, what Powerplex was messed up. He destroyed part of the city, sabotaged a ceremony to recognize a tragedy and destroyed a memorial, and got his own wife and child killed. But on the other, I put most of the blame on the wife, because she was the devil on his shoulder constantly egging him on. Even when he considered stopping, she was there to push him further into darkness. She chose to put her baby directly into danger, and got both herself and her baby killed. The only true victim this episode was that baby.

2025-03-04 10:27:39 +0000 UTCNot at all. It's the classic Greek tragedy. She let her own burning hatred for Invincible consume her and fed into his, resulting in her literally being cooked alive.

2025-03-04 10:23:09 +0000 UTCthat category system makes no sense if anissa is v.s 3 ....that means mark is vs 2 and olly would be vs4 . why is he 2b second second. nolan should be vs1 mark vs1a olly vs1b anissa vs2

2025-03-04 05:40:51 +0000 UTCThe true tragedy of Powerplex is that he literally NEEDS to hate Invincible, now more than ever. If Scott Duvall ever admitted to himself that the deaths of his wife & child were his own fault, purely the result of his own choices & actions rather than Invincible's, then the resulting grief and guilt and shame would probably drive him to kill himself.

2025-03-04 01:57:45 +0000 UTCthe building was collapsing, he grabbed her but he could not hold the building anymore andd he crashed down along with them, when he stood up from the rumble he was still holding her arm but the rest of her was crushed under the building along with her daughter

2025-03-03 16:04:21 +0000 UTCAre you sure you remember the scene right? Cause she definitely died, Mark did not save anyone during the fight.
Jastew .
2025-03-03 15:34:36 +0000 UTCWhat puzzles me is that I distinctly remember Mark saving Gretchen from the building collapse. Which means either she died some other way somehow, or someone nabbed her...

2025-03-02 22:35:46 +0000 UTCWhile Scott brings up a lot of good points, the thing that really puts him in the wrong is the fact that he works for the GDA. They were recording the entire fight as it was happening. If he had access to the train scene then surely he'd have access to the audio recordings of what they were saying. He knows that Invincible was never intentionally trying to hurt or kill anyone, but he's refusing to acknowledge that clear fact because all he wants is to blame someone for his pain and since Nolan peaced out that just leaves Mark holding the bag.

2025-03-02 17:01:41 +0000 UTCPowerplex Is the one responsible for his wife and child's death... The only one I really have sympathy for is the baby :( That wife fed into his depression.

2025-03-02 16:33:05 +0000 UTCpowerplex is voice acted by aaron paul
MrZupraS
2025-03-02 16:14:03 +0000 UTCPowerplex knew from the beginning that invincible wasn't trying to kill anyone, there is no need for an investigation when the GDA was literally videotaping the event as it happened.

2025-03-02 15:27:27 +0000 UTCScott was a broken man who needed someone to be a target of his rage and pain. What is kinda frustrating is that his wife kept egging him on, even when at one point he was going to stop. I feel so bad for their kid, he didn't deserve to be dragged into this.
Joel Sasmad
2025-03-02 15:07:39 +0000 UTCWhat is worse is that now with what happened with his family he could never live with himself if he recognized it was his fault. He has to keep blaming Mark at this point or he would probably just end it all
Joel Sasmad
2025-03-02 15:05:24 +0000 UTCWhen you realize that Powerplex literally has the ability to take his pain and hurt and use it against others.
Joel Sasmad
2025-03-02 15:04:06 +0000 UTCScott is clearly just broken. He wants someone to blame, someone to pay for what happened. Omniman is off planet and well out of reach. The only one he can put things on is Mark, but since most everyone else doesn't see it that way, he feels it's him against the world. I feel bad for the guy, but I don't think there is a way to help him at this point.

2025-03-02 13:50:56 +0000 UTCI want to feel bad for Scott, but honestly my sympathy fell out the windows when we saw he was working for the GDA and saw how the fight with Omni Man went down.
