Three years ago I would have given nearly anything for one of those potions. When all you have remaining are fading memories it becomes so easy to trip on what-ifs. "One last time" is all that goes through your head and though the pain becomes easier to tolerate, it never truly goes away. Whomever is important in your life, dear reader, call them and let them know. One day, in an instant, your chance to do exactly that may be swept away.

2025-08-30 22:17:40 +0000 UTCEvery time I see the scene, I always cry. I love this episode. While it isn't my favorite, it is one I like in this series.

2025-04-11 07:41:42 +0000 UTCI've become more of a crying guy since I had my kids. So when I saw the scene with his mother, especially since my mother passed in 2023. You bet I cried like a little bitch. Still a 9.8/10 episode!

2025-03-25 04:47:30 +0000 UTCThe one thing I'm mad they left out from the manwha is the exchange between the doctors after Jinwoo's mother wakes up.

2025-03-05 19:59:20 +0000 UTCIt's crazy that this episode had like 1800 dislikes just because Jin woo cried when his mom woke up like what the hell?!

2025-03-04 04:59:11 +0000 UTCYup, between the music, the animation of his face and tears, and his VA's performance... I couldn't help tearing up at that scene. It was just too perfect.

2025-03-03 16:09:47 +0000 UTCMan Jin woo is so cool

2025-03-03 11:19:59 +0000 UTCIt makes sense that they cut it, but they made that A rank look like cocky idiot, kind of unfair to him, at this point just remove the thing entirely, don't make him interact at all and make the Japanese guild master propose a "friendly" fight. They throw out the fight rules out of nowhere, without all the reasoning behind it, might as well remove the interactions between the interpreter and the A rank, because it makes no sense without what follows.

2025-03-03 02:14:25 +0000 UTCI mean they did say the would leave the mages out of the physical combat sim and seeing Jinwoo is classified as a mage type by the association they didn't ask him. Would love to see him join in somehow though xD

2025-03-02 23:56:25 +0000 UTCsaw someone say "lol shadowbro needs an uber" and it gave me the laugh I needed after the gut punch of this episode

2025-03-02 22:06:06 +0000 UTCJinwoo breaking down is the most peak animation of this whole show IMO. Beats all the fight scenes and everything. It's done with so much love and it breaks me every fucking time.

2025-03-02 20:30:58 +0000 UTCI was right there with you, Alicia. I lost my mom in September, so this was both hard and healing.

2025-03-02 19:33:47 +0000 UTCyeah was also gonna say, I remember hearing about it but not actually seeing it when I read the manwha so I guess that would be considered "extra story" which explains why it is skipped in all other forms of the series

2025-03-02 19:23:48 +0000 UTCas i watch other reactions i also get the sense that it would of taken alot from the moment of the build up and pacing for the moonlight scene of his mom waking up. they are pacing at around 2-3 arcs per season with a planned 5 season i understand if they need to cut things and certain dailogue but that whole flashback was i feel contribute alot to his character, as i said at the end of my post, "i can't complain Too much". I actually remember this from the audiobook, i don't recall the scene as much in the manwha or WN.

2025-03-02 19:19:39 +0000 UTCI don't feel it was exactly "skipped" just shortened. from the information provided, you can see atleast what exactly happened.

2025-03-02 19:15:14 +0000 UTCIm honestly really happy they kept the scene of Baek and Min drinking together. Really does a lot to build their relationship and show their characters and how the previous raids affected them.
Adam Lawson
2025-03-02 19:08:08 +0000 UTCit's called run time and who knows maybe they will talk about it next episode. You can't be comparing a manwha with page limits with an animated adaption that has a TIME limit (but yeah I was also kind of sad about the fact that they skipped it, I get it's not MAJORLY important to the plot in it's whole but still)

2025-03-02 18:59:19 +0000 UTCThose cliffhangers are brutal I read the Manwha and they still get me anyway xD

2025-03-02 18:53:29 +0000 UTC(none of this spoilers, it's just added context for the burn Scene. ) IM PUNCHING AIR RIGHT NOW, this scene and backstory i have being waiting for since we first saw Jinwoo's Mom as i Saw the burn scars Immediately on Episode 1 and remember the reason for it, i've caught a few other reactors comment on the scars when she was laying in bed before off-handedly during episodes so i have being waiting so long for this Vulnerable and backstory moment from Jinwoo's Recollection. Burn Story in the lines. --------------- Jinwoo's Mom Park Kyunghye Used to Bathe Jinah on the stool washing and rinsing her Daughters hair from a pot of water, Jinwoo wanted to do something good for his Mom (i think he was ~12yr at the time) and do the same for her as she does for Jinah so he went to boil water to get it warm for his mom and do the same. Jinwoo at that age didn't realise that his Mom let the water Cooldown, he poured the pot of boiling water to rinse her hair but got scared at her flinching letting the heavy Pot spill all the water out at once. Jinwoo was Scared at hurting his mom and was anticipating her rage, Park Kyunghye Immediately turned around and hugged Jinwoo and kept asking him if he was alright checking to see if he got burned at all. (this might vary depending on the WN/Manwha as The audiobook did a great job seering this into my memories.) --------------------------- I was left with Soo much disappointment at how they didn't expand on it further as it was very much a divining factor on how he grew up and who he is, Mistakes aren't the end of the world and even if your mistakes led to injury and hurt theres still people who loved him and would forgive him. i really believed they missed the ball on that one, however i can't complain Too much im just venting really as A-1 is doing a masterful job so far cramming 2-3 Arc's per season so far. Okay, Vent over.

2025-03-02 18:52:57 +0000 UTCIt always hits harder when the 'cold' ones crack.
Azel !!
2025-03-02 18:12:04 +0000 UTCAnd the manwha mf be talking ALL THAT SHIT (obv not all of them but still) about the adaption and here they deliver SO FUCKING HARD with the hospital scene! I am fucking ugly crying to this shit
WillGlacier
2025-03-02 18:01:23 +0000 UTCwhy even spoil at all? Even if it isn't significant? Like there is no reason other than making yourself laugh? Fucking losers bro I swear . . .
WillGlacier
2025-03-02 18:00:10 +0000 UTCI think we saw the S rank healer in action in the very first episode of the first season, when they started on Jeju island.

2025-03-02 17:48:38 +0000 UTCI love how EVERYTHING Jinwoo did was to save his mother, and when it finally pays off, he is still human enough to cry like the rest of us. If I am not mistaken you SAW what that S-rank healer can do, in the first 5 minutes of S1 E1. Everyone loves Thomas Allmight

2025-03-02 17:43:41 +0000 UTCI dono why I didn't expect Alicia to break down into a full-blown ugly cry when I know full well that my non empathetic ass did too. Anime moms recovering/dying or whatever the instance might be always messes me up big time.
Virtuous_Wanderer
2025-03-02 17:43:05 +0000 UTCProbably just trimming that bit of content to get us to the point they seem to want to end on which seems to be around Ch. 116 or so based on their current pace.

2025-03-02 17:28:15 +0000 UTCJinwoo actually poured the boiling water on his mom because she wanted hot water to clean her hair. No, seriously…

2025-03-02 17:00:22 +0000 UTCWell... Add this one to the handful of moments that made me cry. Well played Solo Leveling

2025-03-02 16:01:46 +0000 UTCConsidering an A-rank healer regrew an arm an S-rank would be nothing short of miraculous.

2025-03-02 15:56:36 +0000 UTCMeanwhile, Solo Levelling and Shangri La Frontier had a collaboration with some lovely posters, both apparently have season 3 good to go production wise it seems, no wonder really considering how well both of them are doing.

2025-03-02 15:04:43 +0000 UTCThe hospital scene was the part of the manwha I've been looking forward to the most to be animated, and they truly delivered. The song and Jin Woos voice acting made me genuinely teary-eyed.

2025-03-02 14:02:16 +0000 UTCOf all the programmes that we thought might make us cry this year, Solo Leveling was not among them! But here we are.

2025-03-02 13:57:12 +0000 UTCReally amazing episode. But my man, Jinwoo, i am disappointed. You had quest rewards and the set bonus. 40 points you could dump into intelect and yet you risked crafting the potion in an instant. He is not a gamer so i guess it makes sense heh
Denaze
2025-03-02 13:48:59 +0000 UTCthey cut a fight between the A-rank and the interpreter and the A-rank bodied her.

2025-03-02 13:35:28 +0000 UTCOh god they played the anime mom card, I can't take that shit either, even when Naruto did it that one time.. Jin-woo shed the manliest tears ever.
