I'm rewatching the series, whilst I'm waiting for Alicia to continue with it. Daredevil is how I discovered her channel, and I know it's not been doing well in terms of YT views, but I really hope she makes it to Season 3. This series is definitely one of my favourites of all time.

I don't know what is available when and where, but I think you'd be caught up along with the intensity of Daredevil, vibe with the snarky bitchery of Jessica Jones, and at least be intrigued by Luke Cage. Iron Fist... had some interesting themes and premises, although I don't feel like it quite figured out how to really deliver on them and as such didn't live up to its potential. Never watched Punisher so I can't give an opinion on it.

2025-03-07 15:36:02 +0000 UTCremember you need to watch all of Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist [weak first season but very strong second season] everyone is going to tell you to skip Iron Fist but they are all needed for the Defenders and they are all canon to MCU as of the most recent confirmations and their characters will very likely be appearing in the MCU not too long from now. After Defenders you will also need to the watch all the seasons of the Punisher as it has been confirmed he will also be coming to the MCU. I am not trying to be spoilery or anything I am just giving you heads up because there is going to be a lot of chatter and people begging to skip one of the shows or watch one of the shows and all that noise and I just wanted to give you the fact as far as who is relevant to the future of the MCU and who is not and what is canon to the MCU and what is not. Especially given that even the people making the MCU have been unclear about these things in the past but according to the most recent and most firm information available these are the facts as they stand. Anyways thank you so much for all you do on your channel. I love your videos and your commentary. They are a major highlight of my week so thank you again.

I’ve only seen a handful of the Marvel Live Action TV Series including the Netflix ones, but I feel confident in saying Daredevil is the pinnacle. The only one that I felt was subpar was Iron Fist. Anyway, great reaction and judging by Alicia’s other reactions, I think she would really enjoy Punisher.

Bit of an explanation, marvel studios and marvel television used to be separate entities, several shows were produced that were intended to be MCU adjacent but not necessarily factor into the grand design, eventually the 2 merged and that’s when we started getting direct MCU entries as shows like Loki & wandavision. Initially the daredevil revival series that’s currently airing was just supposed to be a spiritual successor with the same cast, but then was later redeveloped into a direct sequel fully canonizing the Netflix era shows

People liked to argue after a while that it wasn't canon but it was never stated otherwise to not be part of the MCU and the new series just came out which just confirms this whole series and the rest of the The Defenders as canon.

When it comes to the Marvel shows regarding the Street-level heroes, they tend to be a lot more grounded in reality (but obviously still a comic book show) and tend to tackle more darker and gritty themes. Daredevil being one of the peaks of this.
