Though it's not *super* known, the original subtitles were fucked, because it's supposed to be Chambres, because that's room or chambers in french, and it's him shuffling the room. So yeah, original ones fucked up but they kept it for way too long so it seems right lol.

Taking them hostage and blackmailing Luffy into surrendering or fighting on the villain's terms would be a go-to thing to do. So no wonder Law is furious.
