Meaning mana is seemingly part of body functions for people in this world. - Subaru really wanted thank Emilia for safing him in the first loop but can't since only he has those memories, this made him feel guilty - Puck can read surface thoughts/emotion of a person when making contact that is why he says he senses no ill-intent from Subaru - Emilia takes Subaru's statement about wanting to get along with her as a joke since she can imagine a normal person wanting to be friendly with a half-elf - Subaru even sat in Roswaals chair after calling him a clown, the level of disrespect - Roswaal admits that the theft of the badge was partly his negligence for providing insuffiecent security - Roswaal is suspicious when Subaru wants to work as a servant, and he admits that he only wants to be near the girl he likes, Emilia thinks he is talking about the maids About the politcal situation of the kingdom: - Lugunica is highly unstable after a mysterious disease killed all of the royal family 6 months ago - A council of old nobles has taken over the governemnt temporarily - Lugunica is also called the Dragonfriend Kingdom Ep 5 - The cold looks Rem&Ram gave him after waking up hurt Subaru and he ran so they wouldn't see him cry - Most more advanced tools run on mana like the hot tub in the manor, or like the lights. They use magic crystals that activate when coming into contact with mana - Also Roswaal explain a bit about magic here but I will save that for a later episode - Subaru tries to activly put in less effort in his work that in the first loop to emulate his former level of uselessness, Emilia noticed that (thats why she makes him promise to work hard during the "date" convo) - Subaru feels like he can act more normal around Beatrice since he isn't trying to impress her like with the others at the mansion, and he felt guilty for not talking to her as much this loop In the novel Spirit Magic is explained in more detail at this point. I'll keep it short: There a lesser and greater spirit. Lesser Spirits want simpler things for their contract but also offer a lot less power. Greater spirits offer more power, are rarer and have more restrictive contracts. Making pacts requires some amount of affinity for spirits. Once a cantracts is formed the spirit user can cast spells of the same type as their contracted spirit.

The further i have read/watched the more i realized that Subaru's ultimate superpower is his endurance and willpower. Re:zero is a story about the indomitable human spirit and pushing through hell to reach a better tomorrow. No matter how gory or depressing it becomes Re:zero is ultimately a story about hope and even the author himself admitted such.
