She's going to get confused as to why they are there or how they know each other, then she has to backtrack entirely to see the origins and its going to be out of order and confusing. You have the characters who appear in multiple titles, and Knowing who and what and where a person comes from is crucial for a build up show like defenders. Otherwise Why would you care about them. They just showed up. And Jessica Jones is a Bleeding Masterpiece. With a villain just as well written and even more terrifying that Wilson Fisk. Oh my GAWD. Please watch the other shows.

Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are solid shows, but they're pure character origin exploration and that really isn't essential to Defender's story.

Luke Cage and Jessica Jones are both decent shows in their own right but they don't really contribute to the plot of Defenders at all, they're pretty much pure character origin exploration. Iron Fist is a little more closely incorporated into Defenders story but its also kinda the weakest of the MCU Netflix shows (by a significant margin imo).

It's basically like the MCU, with the events in different shows and their individual seasons happening in an intersecting chronological order. Like before you can watch Season 3 of Daredevil, you have to watch the Defenders, and before you can watch the Defenders you have to the other MCU Netflix shows because it involves all of them.

They're mostly good, they flesh out the universe and Daredevil characters appear occasionally in most of these, but i think only Defenders is actually required for understanding the opening of s3. (also i wouldn't make my worst enemy sit through Iron Fist)

2025-03-20 19:05:59 +0000 UTCLike others have said, hopefully you check out the order for Marvel Netflix shows and go through the list in that order While I don't personally believe they're all on the same level, some are definitely worth watching Plus, the Defenders mini series is needed to understand a some stuff in Daredevil Season 3, and Defenders is a crossover between all the Marvel Netflix shows, so going out of order on this would give that crossover a lot less impact (it'd be like going from Iron Man 1 straight to Avengers without watching the other movies in-between)

After the war most US veterans just kept calling whatever they were reloading with a clip, and because of that their kids and friends did, and its stuck around since.

2025-03-20 12:09:25 +0000 UTCI personally recommend watching Jessica Jones season 1 before watching Daredevil season 2 of you haven’t started already, as the events of that show take place before then and it has some characters and plot lines that link with that show, but you wouldn’t miss too much if you went straight into Daredevil season 2, but that’s just my suggestion to getting through the Netflix Marvel stuff in release and chronological order.
