Spider-Man: Far From Home

:D another monday another fun time with marvel!!

Spider-Man: Far From Home

Comments

"I don't know how you have a happy film after Endgame." The answer? You don't.

Ryan Whorton

I feel so jealous. My high school trip was to Washington D.C. And the whole way there was plagued with stops in states where they'd ask "Where ya from?" and when I'd say "Minnesota" I got the "Oh ya sure, you'betcha!!" that I fucking DESPISE from that shitty movie Fargo.

Kyutoko

Watching Alicia flip flop on Mysterios character is endlessly amusing, especially when you already know how the movie ends. Such fun haha.

Elliot Pownall

I'm confused on how'd you even think no way home came before this one considering the entire plot of no way home is from this movies ending

Cube Pylum

saw the notification for No Way Home and was confused because i guess i just completely missed this upload???? I LOVE THIS MOVIE

Drakey

Are we not gonna watch No Way Home?

Zero

I have 1 issue with this reaction... it is what peter is also slang for. "She loves peter" "She's looking for peter, SHE'S LOOKING FOR PETER" Those are just 2 of the many comments in the video that gave me a small laugh.

Miklar Sihn

So she definitely just forgot about the end of homecoming when may saw him

Juusii

Good thing I've already seen this movie several times, the new model kept distracting me so I probably missed half the movie this time, love the design! 😊

Korpen

Great movie love it. My only problem is this continues the downfall of one of my favorite character Nick fury becomes less competent and turning into a joke character every movie after Captain Marvel.

hellsing12

Are you going to watch the Disney Plus shows?

Tyler Owens

I actually never thought about it like. Yeah, it IS refreshing as hell. Probably why Mysterio is one of my favorite Spider-Man film villains. He just stands out more (character-wise) now that we're so far distanced from Green Goblin and Doc Ock.

New model looks snazzy, though the emeralds make the crown clash a bit with the rest of the black/red/gold. Looks like you forgot, but May found out about Spider-Man in the very last scene of Homecoming before the credits. Kind of amusing you were going off on them not questioning Beck and then mentioning that 'maybe it's something covered in the comics'. Meanwhile, every Spider-Man comic book reader was nearly instantly glaring at him from scene one because they did, in fact, know /exactly/ who he was. That said, your reads on him from someone who isn't versed in Spider-lore is cool. I'm actually kind of sad there aren't more full on illusionists in Marvel, just folks who can also do some illusions in addition. A fully dedicated illusionist can be scary as fuck as Beck showed. (Though considering some of the interviews of the later series writers; yes, yes at least some of them would shit on their fanbase.)

I enjoyed that Mysterio was just some asshole. Literally every in all the other spider-man movies was someone that something bad happened to and it turned them into a monster. SM1: Norman just wanted to keep his company from going under and experimented on himself which gave him a violent murderous alternate personality. SM2: Otto just wanted to make unlimited energy to provide for the world but it killed his wife and turned him into a slave to his robo arms. SM3:Harry's dad had been showing him affection right before he died and he thought he was avenging his father, Flint just wanted to help his sick child and Eddy might have been a jerk but he just wanted to prove himself and look impressive to his gf and boss. He deserved to be fired but it was the symbiote that turned him into a monster. ASM1: Curt Conners just wanted to help amputees around the world and his research turned him into a monster. ASM2: Harry didnt want to die young and Max was just lonely and wanted to be seen. SMH: Adrian Toomes just wanted to provide for his family before Stark Industries stole his city contract and he turned to crime to provide for his loved ones. Mysterio is the first Spider-man movie villan that's just a crazy asshole. He was fired for being unstable and instead of starting his own company or bringing his research elsewhere, he just wanted to fool the world into thinking he was a hero due to his massive ego and he was willing to kill any man, woman or child to get his goal. I was nice to finally have a spider-man villain where i dont need to have sympathy, i can just root for Peter to whoop his ass.

I recommend watching venom 2018 and let there be carnage before Spider-Man no way home

I know people are mixed, but I'm loving the new model ❀️

This reaction was my first time seeing this movie, and it was so weird to me, going in already knowing Mysterio's thing from comics and shows. Alicia was (rightfully) alternating between suspicion and trust with him, and the whole time I'm instead just sitting there wondering how he's making the con look so convincing, and waiting for when the curtain is gonna finally pull back and show what's really going on. Worldbuilding-wise, I love this version of Mysterio too. Of COURSE this would be the time when an elaborate conman like him would show up - after the world's spent years being introduced publicly to aliens, gods and wizards, a guy from another dimension who just has magic powers because reasons, and these elemental monsters are here and he has to fight them? Yeah, sure, that makes sense in this setting - people will buy that in a second, don't even need to elaborate further for that to be believable. And of course using this time to try to get in cozy with the big names, with the Avengers as a team being at their weakest and most disjointed at the moment, and people being desperate for new powerhouses in the absence of many of them. I also love the more modernized theming of him basically just being a director. Rather than a smoke and mirrors bank robber, the tech he has instead makes him this grand showman putting on his own superhero performance, and I love that direction for him. I was wondering how a movie could rely on Mysterio as its sole villain, since all Peter has to do is punch him like once, but I thoroughly loved this take on him.

Ace of Blades

The greatest thing this movie pulled was tricking me, a comic-book reader who knows exactly who Mysterio is, by simply throwing "multiverse" and "Earth-616" at me.

19:10 and that right there is the moment Ned became the CEO of Sex

Sooo , I know this probably won't be read but i don't comment much and i just think Historical Context was neat ! At the time , the Marvel Community was analyising everything , Something neat but slightly out of context from this film was Odins background Quest for the Infinite Stones , It's only seen by an audience over a second watch of all the movies as no-one has the all the peices untill the End of Phase 3. The Story Starts with the Asgard , Warlords, Warriors , Odin and his Eldest Child Hela and an Army of Veteran , Immortal Soldiers , Long lived yes , but even if they died the Immortal flame would bring them back to life to fight once again, one of the main treasures in the conquest across the Galaxy. During this time , their were many powerful beings , but one by one they fell , and world by world , Odin searched for Power , artifact by artifact , robbed from their culture and creators, rich of gold and wealth and any treasure you could want was at his finger tips , but it wasn't enough. He heard tales of The Infinite Stones , tales of Celestials and Gods far older and far more powerful then even himself and all hes known. He finds them one by one, first the Space Stone , and uncovered how it was used to create the impossible world that is Asgard an Island floating in space and the Bifrost from its power. The others soon afterwards , his power grew and but his daughter became vengeful, arrogant with more lust for conquest and murder then himself. Eventually he had all other Infinity stones other then one. The Soul Stone. He lead his daughter to the Sumit , the Old Guardian of the Stone told him the price , he had to lose his daughter and finally he faultered , finally a price to great to pay . With all his wealth a palace made of gold and the suffering of the countless , this was finally to much. Hela did not understand , she had only known this , war and death and on this final conquest he faultered , She fought him and lost, in greif , Odin banished her to a Realm far from any other where she could no longer harm others. He Separated the Infinity stone and scattered them to the most powerful Nations and Beings of the day. Hidden. Asgard faded into Myth , but Odin still kept a copy of the gauntlet He asked the Dwarves to Design as a Reminder. This is just a little story , Its told in the background of the Films and i just find it really cool !!

Please react to Spider-man No Way Home right after this at that takes place right after this regardless of the release order.

Trey Goldsworthy

While this is a decent movie it is definitely the weakest of the three marvel spiderman movies. With my personal opinion of Spider man no way home being the best of the 3 Spider man homecoming being a close 2nd to SM3 And Spider man far from home being the worst of the 3 with the main Villain, mysterio, not really feeling like a villain but more like a normal guy with a really really bad grudge who got his hands on technology that made it so he could use hyper realistic holograms to trick Spider man and the rest of the world but never really a actual threat to spider man in terms of physics harm or even death

Iron_claw

can you react to the hobbit movies ?

harry

Even though I'm not a fan of Iron Man and didn't watch any of his movies, I still cried a bit at the scene of Happy watching Peter and seeing the spirit of Tony.
