Plankton goes to Prison, Spongebob Gets the respect he deserves, even Squidward seems to like him a bit now that spongebob saved him, and Spongebob saves the entire city. After the movie there was a massive wave of fans wanting more so they continued making it. Sadly just like every show that just keeps going, the quality just declines the longer it goes on.
