Yeah with the way they treat Cyclops, the costumes, and honestly some of the action in this. I don't think these X movies hold up all that much 20 years later unfortunately.

Mutants are literally hard coded to be the next evolutionary stage for humans and they just keep getting born because humans exists. These movies mostly did cyclops dirty by just nit having him in the damn movies at all, hos characterization isn't bad, and as for his clothes you ragged on......that's what he wears in comics and shows as well. So yeah, cyclops done dirty by just no screen time, but otherwise pretty accurate

Guthrie (2) refers to Sam Guthrie, who is Cannonball and another I don't personally know about, Garrison Kane is Weapon X/Kane, came from same program that made Logan, Remy LaBeau is Gambit, you know Eric, Artie Maddicks is another telepath, Jamie Madrix is Multiple Man (you'll meet him later), Xi'an Coy Man is Karma, another telepath, Maximoff (2) refers to the Maximof twins who you've already (kinda) met in the MCU. Yes they are twins, but in x-men lore, they are the children of magneto. Kevin McTaggart is known as Proteus, he's the son of a character you'll meet later in a different movie, and he has reality warping powers. Danielle (Danny) Moonstar is another telepath known as Mirage who specializes in summoning people's worst fears.

So their relationship was always strained as hell. It just felt so fked have Jeans side shown but his ignored, they prop them up as the perfect couple in the film just to have her cheat. It would’ve softened the blow if they just took 5mins to show that their relationship was strained and neither were happy.

Jean Grey sometimes goes by the Phoenix hence the winged creature you see under the water. Also just a fun fact Jean Grey is a Wanda (scarlet witch) level threat. As for which one is stronger that is a heated ass debate really just comes down to who writes the story. Some comics have Jeans powered being afraid of Wanda while others Jean is basically a god, it’s really inconsistant

One thing, though, I always found interesting [not to everyone but to me and many x-men fans of my community], and something we even discussed a little in one of my film classes, is that Jason chooses to present as a girl in the vision. This version of Jason's character can and is viewed by many trans x-men fans [especially 80s and 90s era Trans Fans] as a very early and very subtle example of a trans character. The only time we see Jason as male is in the real world, where his father has stripped all his dignity and even any real sense of self or control away from him. However, in his illusions, where he can appear any way he wants, he presents as female because that is how he truly sees himself. Remember the X-Men comics according to stan lee where created to be a stand in for more than just Racial Civil Rights Movement but also the LGBT+ Civil Rights Movement which is actually the reason the x-gene that gives Mutant Powers works the way it does such as manifesting during puberty (just like being LGBT+ tends to) and is triggered by extreme stress (like the stress of being different). Anyways, just wanted to share. Thank you both for the wonderful reaction. Your content continues to be great. Oh, and you are not alone, nearly every actor who has ever played magento and charles has said they considered them to have been romantic at some point in time.

Last she knew, he and the Professor were heading out to visit Magneto. Logan fell for Jean on day 1. Jean felt attraction to him but was loyal to Scott. Scott hoes himself out every time Jean so much as leaves the scene for a while. (If all you take away from this is that Scott is a hoe, you dun good.)

It was meant to show how she doesn't like how he is always running off on his own, unlike Scott who is a team player. Also, I think you guys are confusing bad writing for writing you don't like. It's not high art, but people cheat for all sorts of reasons. And you aren't supposed to think Jean and Logan are in the right. The ending with her choosing Scott is meant to show that though she was tempted, she remained faithful.

So when he said "time to play by their rules," he decided to "turn the tables." I don't think he would have done it if he didn't just see Stryker attempt it himself. I think it was done out of anger and since he saw the opportunity. So, a crime of passion and not premeditated. It was still horrible, of course, but I don't think it was out of character.

One of which was a kid who was excited after hearing he had gotten powers and the chance to be a superhero, only to be shot down when his powers were revealed to be a one-time use where he literally blows himself up (he got tested by the X-Men). I don't remember how extreme the explosion would be, but it wasn't on a level that would level a city. Then as he and his parents were leaving the compound, a villain showed up and killed his parents in the crossfire.
