It’s a neat trick the show pulls off by changing the lighting and camera angle, the same ships that are ominous coldly lit symbols of tyranny menacing planets in the future are seen as warm and welcoming, lit by the setting sun

2025-05-01 11:50:25 +0000 UTCThis does make sense as episode 1, it immediately lets you know how desperate the Republic is and how badly the clone army is outnumbered 100 to 1, and shows a world being forced to pick a side, the fatalistic logic of the droids shrugging at their cheap design flaws, the clones’ individuality and creativity AND has Yoda, Ventress, and Dooku, that’s like everything you need

Yoda decapitated Jek along with Gree when they were ordered to execute him. :( Jek survived this episode by being saved by Yoda only to be killed by him years later.
