BBY was how all Star Wars things like the books, comics, and games, designated where in the timeline they took place. BBY stands for ‘The Battle of Yavin’ which is firing A New Hope where Luke blows up the Death Star. ABY is ‘After Battle of Yavin’ which is after the first movie. It’s a fun holdover for fans of all the Star Wars books and ‘legends’ material that was coming out after the original trilogy.

Which means that this show takes place 5 years before A New Hope and therefore 14 years after Revenge of the Sith.

2025-04-25 00:30:24 +0000 UTCThe problem of the 3rd saga was that the 2nd movie was taken by a diferent production team so it went sideways and then retaken by the 1st team for the final movie, so basically the ideas they had from the 1st movie to develop in the 2nd went to the garbage and they had to deal with it, and is kinda hint that fynn was supposedly to be a jedi user that could awake hisnpowers in the 2nd movie, and instead all the travel to the casino did absolutely nothing to the main plot, so was a waste of time (storywise) since they achieve absolutely nothing and actually lose resources, which for ep9 it was kinda forced into him the other girl, which was why they decided to split them up and he went traveling the whole movie and she stayed as an engineer that she was

2025-04-23 19:16:18 +0000 UTCSome people didnt like Andor because is a more 'political' series about the empire and the rebels starting to show up, which later on you will see more of it in "Rebels" after "CloneWars", but it does a good work showing up the problems of the new empire in topics some other jedi-focused series didnt show, which is nice and still feel like a "starwars series" (just like Rogue One does)

About the “BBY”, Star Wars marks when events happen around the destruction of the first Death Star. It’s BBY for “Before the Battle of Yavin” and ABY for “After the Battle of Yavin”. Andor starts five years before the first Death Star is destroyed, thus “5 BBY”.
