I think you missed the 1 months ago writing on one of the flashbacks where orochi got a letter from kanjiro when they spawned in. That is why they got separated in the first place when they tried to leave Wano, bcs orochi knew and sent someone to shoot their boat down. Orochi just assumed they got sunk and died until Kanjiro sent another letter when they were back in Wano confirming that they are infact alive and leaked their plan

Orochi gave the person a devil fruit in the flashback, So it could literally only have been Kin, Kanjuro, or shinobu, but shinobu didnt have her fruit at the time of oden's death, or she would have saved them, and if thats not enough, orochi specifically referenced a 'He'. And it literally couldnt have been Kin because we already saw him and his life with tsuru before oden. Kanjuro was the only choice

2025-04-28 22:25:13 +0000 UTCThe letter informing orochi they're alive came practically day of them arriving in the future, none of the akazaya members that stayed the 20 years knew about it until after luffy made it to wano, so orochi learning of the akazaya members returning had to come from someone who was sent to the future. This narrows it down to 4. We also knew that the spy was given a devil fruit which narrows it down to 2 people, Kinemon, or Kanjuro. Final clue, the spy is from an acting family, and who's modeled after a kabuki actor? Kanjuro. Your logic is sound, but was steered in the wrong direction by information you missed/misread on watching the flashback. I, on the other hand, only picked up on any clues on rewatch. I had 0 clue of who the spy could be when I first saw it XD

There are so many ways he subtly sabotages the group or betrays his true thoughts, but only if you really look for them. On top of the obvious bad drawing and stuff, of course.
