2025-05-15 23:49:28 +0000 UTCI have a theory, what if you are right about Shang Chao that he set up the kidnapping just so Yang would become the new E Soul, but what if his plan goes even further, he told the goons to lie that Yang is the mastermind so they could have a legal fuss with the real E Soul but Shang already had a plan to discredit them and make them look bad, making the perfect motivation to "hire" a hit man to take out the fake E Soul. He purposely wore the helmet and is faking his death to frame the real E Soul and make him loose all his Trust Value. The fact Shang could still kinda hear after getting shot tells me he might survive this as part of his plan.

Despite not even having a successful business yet, he was still chosen as a judge for the E-Soul competition. And despite working at various business in order to fully prepare to become an entrepreneur, he was fully willing to co-opt E-Soul's name without repercussion. What if Shang Chao is/was E-Soul's son? The other theory is that Xia Qing is a yandere. The Pomelo kidnapping job was offered to those two guys after Yang Cheng lost the E-Soul competition and was avoiding them. The story about the kidnapping being fake occurred after her "date" with Yang was interrupted by kids wanting fried hair. Shang was shot after she told Yang that he had asked her out and Yang still wasn't confessing his feelings to her because of him feeling inadequate. Now the biggest jump to this conclusion would be why would she have her brother kidnap? No clue.
