Allow me to bring something to attention. When Calypso reveals Davy Jones' true form and he reaches out to her, he's so used to his left hand being a pincer that he keeps his fingers held in the shape of a pincer. Check the scene for yourself, 1:58:00.

One thing I want to point out for the Liar's dice seen that a lot of people miss is that when people say bootstrap joined the game for no reason they completely misunderstand how the game is played bootstrap literally threw himself between David Jones and his son with the way the game works the only person who could call Will a liar is bootstrap Davy Jones couldn't call him a liar due to how the game is played so he literally made it where Davy Jones couldn't win it's played off in the movie as if he didn't need to do that but if it was just Jones and will will would have lost and been stuck on the Dutchman forever bootstrap saved him there

It occurs to me that Turner and Swann could easily just meet... at sea.

I think that the people who hate the fourth and fifth movies need to pull the sticks out of their rear ends. They are good movies, people's expectations were just too high.

So the Flying Dutchman that was built for this movie was actually moored at Disney's Castaway Cay until November 2010, then the ship was relocated for dismantling.

"people aint cargo mate" the fact that discussion was cut from the movie is criminal, it breaks jacks character wide open.

3 things. First , Keith Richard’s should dress like that from now on. Second, Geoffrey Rush as Barbossa is always the best character in these, you can tell the actor is having a blast playing the role. And third, Key should be in every reaction from now on. Especially if it involves water in any way, shape, or form. Just because of how funny he is, especially when he’s torment-POINTING OUT things about the water. …to Alicia.

Id like to point out, in this trilogy of movies, Elizabeth is the very definition of a modern "Strong Independant Woman" that they attempt to force down our throats in the modern day of media. EXCEPT she has character flaws, character strengths and personal struggles on top of the writing for her having been natural and not preachy/in the audiences face. She is treated as an individual by the film and so we see her as an indvidual ourselves.
THIS is the prime example of what the ""Modern Audience"" wants to see but could never recreate simply BECAUSE she has character flaws and personal struggles. She isnt perfect and she isnt written as a forced representation of an entire group based solely upon a single immutable trait.
I love Elizabeth Swan as a Character and I eagerly await the day where all characters in all stories are written like she is, as individuals.

omg I just NOW realized the song "the king and his men" that they sing at the start of the movie is literally about the pirates kidnapping calypso and binding her to a human form
"the king and his men (bretheren court) stole the queen (calypso) from her bed, and bound her in her bones (bound her to human form). The seas be ours and by the powers, where we will we'll roam (without calypso around, they are free to sail the seas however they please)"
