The reason, for anyone interested, is because in the 90's Logan picked a fight with Magneto one to many times and Magneto pulled ALL of the Adamantium out of his body! Hurt like hell, nearly killed him, and provoked Xavier into mind-wiping Magneto. Turned out that Logan's healing-factor worked Even Better with the metal out of his bones, got run over by a car (actually under, like the tires went over top of him after it hit) and was in near total organ failure and multiple contusions and broken bones and then back to 100% in seconds... and he had bone claws (which looked even more gnarly in the comic books.) And Magneto woke-up eventually and walked the earth and was actually a pretty chill and cool dude without all his concentration-camp baggage.
