2025-06-08 15:11:23 +0000 UTCFrom I can tell from how the dean acted fear seems to resemble how the symbiote acts when Peter parker first gets it(or rather how the symbiote is treated in spiderman stories when peter gets it for the first time). I am not entirely sure but it seems to corrupt those it infects in this case the dean making him go from a good guy who wanted to help everyone he could(Though he did go about it in a somewhat questionable way) and later go's mad from fear. But, I wonder if like the symbiote it can interpreted to not just turn people evil just cause but rather amplifiers feelings(mostly negative ones) that are already inside them? Like peter doesn't just turn into a pure evil villain but rather starts to get close to killing his villains after being fed up with them not giving up crime and this is something that Peter defo thinks about but the symbiote brought that shit right to the surface or when peter almost ended up allowing pretty crime to happen without him interfering in the spectacular spiderman cartoon in a deal with tombstone in exchange for money so that he could pay for Aunt may's hospital bills. if it is an amplifier and not just something that could turn anyone pure evil if you gave it to them then that could be really cool. though like the symbiote it could also be both an amplifier for your own more negative/evil emotions and also eventually just end up turning you into something close to a villain or pure evil or something along those lines if you don't give up fear/symbiote in time.
