2025-07-11 05:29:54 +0000 UTCJust because sulong makes you powerful doesn't mean you can't be caught off guard. Perospero isn't fighting head on like most of the other fights we've seen. He's taking advantage of every slip up and every distraction. And also, Perospero isn't weak. He's the first son of the emperor of the sea, big mom. Even though he doesn't have the title of "sweet general" he's pretty damn close in ability to cracker. If you think sulong is gonna 1 tap gear 4 luffy, then your criticisms of the fight are 100% correct. He has the capacity to keep up with cracker in a fight, but he fights defensively and with his head, like nami or usopp.

2025-06-25 07:08:52 +0000 UTCThe fight with Perospero is so weird in the anime, I feel like Toei is just inserting it when it isn't necessary. Nothing was said in that scene that hasn't already been said or couldn't have been explained later with less time spent. Just a bad scene choice to fill in time with some of the fastest characters in the show being slow.

In the manga we only see the initial face slash, then return to the fight several chapters later with the minks already beaten. Dialogue suggests Perospero won because of weather blocking sulong form. Also gotta agree about Jack. I think most fans think he should have been done in by Zunesha smashing his fleet.
