Because if you are given an order you stick with it, he said he was in the military, it's obvious that he has ptsd by it, but the weight of the fight rested on him, he had many chances to explain and talk about his mental issues, but he didn't, he waited to long and made the offensive push useless.
390 asked him to go because he trusted him, you can blame his trust but if you do that, you also gotta blame 388 for not trusting anyone enough to disclose his issues, he pretended to be something he's not anymore and the rebellion died because of it.

Why we piling on the dude's moment of cowardice but not on the ones who didn't even try to join to begin with? If him being so scared he couldn't move justifies him getting killed, why wouldn't it apply to the other people who didn't join the squad? If we're looking for a reason and say it's cause he was tasked with bringing ammo, we can go further back and say it was the fault of the guy who asked him to go back for ammo

Easily one of the shows you binge for 2 reasons
It's amazing and the cliffhangers pull ya straight to the next episode
And the real main reason so you can be on the internet for the next 2 weeks while spoilers are literally everywhere
