2025-07-02 22:06:58 +0000 UTCOh man I really didnt want Hyun-ju to die, but as soon as she made the decision to do the right thing and try to save the others I knew it was going to happen. What a good character, and as a trans person myself I am glad the show did such a good job. Last season they even outright had those conversations in episode 5. Parts of the world and especially my country (usa) have backslid on these issues which has been scary to see happen. Im hoping a continued cultural push against the hate movement staves off the worst of if until some non-hateful people hold power in this world.

2025-07-01 03:08:23 +0000 UTCThe ending of this episode is painful, one mom brought her child into the world, and the other had to take him out of it. The amount of strength it would take to not only choose someone else and their child over your own is insane, but to have to be the one to take your own child's life is just horrific. Morally what she did is absolutely the correct option in my opinion, first offered her own life, and when that wasn't an option chose the innocence baby and their mom, but if I had a child and was in a similar situation, I would've not been capable of that.
