X-less is kind of just, generic hero number 526 who didn't stand a chance here..... but there really isn't much he could have done different short of double tapping Shigi, which the heroes simply wouldn't do. Except for Hawks.... yeah he'd just make straight with the choppy choppy.

2023-12-14 20:56:57 +0000 UTCone of my favorite and most memorable things that happens in this show, is back when AFO fought All Might in Season 3: he points out that "being a hero is hard", because unlike AFO, who can literally never hold back and just throw his power around regardless of the damage - heroes are working to minimize damage, save people, and can't allow themselves to cross the line, which in turn, makes being a hero faaar more difficult (and also is the thing that makes All Might so amazing to see) the way the show plays with the idea of being a hero is MEANT to be difficult as all hell, really makes situations like this extremely stressful; we know killing him would solve it, but we also know that isn't what a hero should do now, replace X-Less with the Hero Killer, and look at the situation again. in that case? hell yes i'm rooting for the murder of Shiggy - because i know Stain knows what needs to happen, and doesn't bother limiting himself P.S. that situation would literally make zero sense in this context, but i needed to pick a character example that differs from X-Less lol

2023-12-14 18:14:44 +0000 UTCyeah, there's that too. but the fact that they interrupted his awakening is another reason i think killing Shiggy wouldn't have been really justified to think about in that moment; he was unconscious and had no pulse it's not the usual trope where you hit a villain hard and they seem like they're out for the count, just to surprise attack you

Like, it would be incredibly lame and anticlimactic if X-less did just kill shiggy there or whatever. It would make no sense for him to die off in that moment so idk why people are always so worked up about X-less not doing it

2023-12-12 22:14:01 +0000 UTCpeople, people, the concept of "anime time exists". just because we see the scene in a matter of minutes, doesn't mean the canonical time it takes is minutes. as much as we think we'd have solved the Shigaraki problem in an instant, I doubt even trying to kill him would've worked lmao. there were no right answers, but X-Less actually did the right thing by destroying that machine (won't spoil why), so idk why people get so upset at him also to clarify: the wires were exposed because Mirko/Mic broke the entire machine and it ruptured the control mechanism. X-Less had nothing to do with the wires being out (ppl think this too for some reason even though its obvious he shot at something on the other end of the room lmao) i always get a little upsetti sphaghetti when ppl are so heavy handed with the split second actions from extra characters, because to claim he should've had the resolve and thought to murder Shiggy in the moment that he was left alone doesn't at all reflect how real ppl act lol. Shiggy was unconscious, he scanned the room once and made sure nothing else dangerous was there, and then Shiggy woke up in theory, trying to kill Shiggy or move him would be optimal in practice, his split second decision was to pay attention to the thing that may or may not have been an additional problem, neutralize it, and then the "consequence" is that he was too distracted to notice the water and wires mixing long post, but it's one of the things i never understood abt the MHA watchers lmao not to mention it's us, as the audience, who's seen Shiggy's potential fully (even before the power boost). we KNOW he's gonna wake up somehow. unfortunately, X-Less' first confrontation with Shiggy, wasn't as prepared
