2024-09-29 15:16:12 +0000 UTCThe whole Mage Exam arc is so good - I'm glad you're enjoying these episodes and the reactions rock. In my opinion Wirbel didn't have a stupid line. The copies have their mana, techniques and fighting styles but they don't behave like them and it was already confirmed at that point they don't have minds. If they were actual perfect copies then they would have independent thought but they're just monsters/defenders of the dungeon who attack interlopers. He was right it's impossible to know what they think but you can predict how they'll behave in a fight and their weaknesses which was why from the start of the battle Wirbel assigned the match-ups. Otherwise you could just chuck a mimic in the room and Frieren's copy would be done for :P

She shunned off reading the historical tome that Frieren told her to read. Now that Fern’s experienced history first hand (seeing Frieren kill Qual and learning about Soul Track + defensive magic), Fern loves it now.
