One was still alive, and after Jinwoo killed Kang, he noticed he was still alive, sent the others ahead, and literally fed him to a pack of goblins. I guess the anime team thought that was too dark of an act for the main character to commit. I think it's the difference between Korean, Western and Japanese sensibilities at play. Japan has always been more lax on punishing sex criminals, and I guess they don't realise that Western and Korean viewers would have no problem with Jinwoo murdering a sex criminal in such a brutal way.

But when he was awakened he did so as a mage, so even though he has all of those skills, they're useless against monsters.
