Preeetty sure 99% of people watch it and get attached to it. Please don't go into detail what part of them reference something in the show! Alicia/a reacter does not need to go frame by frame and is simply missing out on lovingly made OPs.

EXCEPT for this one arc. the shift in tone in the yorknew city arc is so stark to begin with that I realy dont see how its that much a of leap anyways. plus the overall art style is closer to hxh manga in 90's (not the SAME just closer). you are right that it would be jarring for a few episodes, but pls, just watch those episodes and compare!

2024-03-15 12:38:12 +0000 UTCNo hate to you but it's actually astonishing to me how anyone could recommend that. That's even worse than switching from old FMA to Brotherhood after a few episodes. Sure you can prefer one over the other, but it would absolutely be incredibly jarring. That's not just a few ppl saying that. In fact you're the first person I've ever seen recommending switching just for that arc. Also, usually, ppl who prefer the 1999 version completely disregard the 2011 version of the anime, acting like it's a disgrace and so much worse than 1999 which is just not that clear cut, they're just different.

I know that a few people replied saying it would be jarring. but for everyone caught up to HxH, I highly recomend comparing episode 45(1999) to episode 39(2011) the diference in direction is night and day! fyi these episodes cover the same materiel roughly but episode 37(2011) and 45(1999) are the official starting points. and to be honest the VA's sound damn near the same in both versions

What i don't understand is why people claim there are spoilers in the intro. At most is shows a falsh of a future character with little context. The intro to HxH is easyly in the top of all shonen openings ever animated and im sadened that you missed out on it. Honestly to me the op is an integral part of any show and so I never skip, but i respect your decisions. Once again your reaction content is peak, no contest. Thank you for beeing here every single day.

2024-03-14 20:46:16 +0000 UTCi really like the fact that they split the party... cuz it's true... once they helped Gon make sure Killua was safe and sound... Kurapika and Leorio don't have any real reason to just stick around with them, after all they both have personal goals of their own. This really makes it feel like the real world... and that this characters are living, breathing people. Also i really ended up liking both Canary and Gotoh, despite them being minor character they really made an impression. And i understand you Alicia, i also wanted the group to take Canary with them, i was so sad when they didn't... specially after that little shot of Killua just passing by her to leave without even giving her a look. He really doesn't consider her a friend.... which makes sense..... but also hurts a lot.

2024-03-14 20:26:49 +0000 UTCThe disrespect they've done to Leorio in the anime is real, he's pretty much supposed to be physically stronger than Gon at this point in the story. It's why Chairman Netero said he was evenly matched with the more experienced Botoro, and how when they stayed at the Testing Gates until they could all open it on their own, he was able to open up to gate #2 while Gon and Kurapika could only open #1. They really did him dirty...

2024-03-14 09:45:18 +0000 UTCThats what I love about Hunter x Hunter. While there are slower paced sections, there is absolutely no filler. Its just go go go all the time for the whole 148 episodes. Usually with longer shows they can feel kind of bloated, but they get so much done in every episode it never really gets boring.
