The thing about Oushi (which you might have noticed in later episodes) is that his defensiveness about Yuki gets in the way of him being a good person. Not an excuse at all for how much of a dickhead he is, but it's a reason.

He seems possessive to me, and probably has feelings for her but never did anything about it. He might not be a bad person, but he is not being a good friend in my opinion.
