Sadly this was the last ending the One Piece anime had for years. Eventually they brought them back, so I'm content. Though, I always wondered why they discontinued it early on in the series. Overall, just glad it's here to stay.

There's actually more endings for early One Piece that we haven't seen. Even I was surprised to find out. They were only broadcasted in Japan, and was left out for audiences overseas.

Skypia hype didn't really manifest until many MANY years later for reasons I can't discuss.

Yeah... One Piece and bad pacing, a match made in heaven. Through the years TOEI has used pretty much every trick in the book to not catch up to the manga. Obligatory [REDACTED] flashback.

I love Skypiea, but no amount of lore or foreshadowing will address the flaws of some parts of that arc. Especially for the anime adaptation. That is true for any arc. Otherwise, by that logic, the SBS or a databook would be the greatest "arcs" of all One Piece for the amount of "lore" they have.
Anyway, these talks about "this arc is good or bad" are pointless to begin with. You can't argue with personal impressions.

She misread "bed head" as "beads". Its funny, she understood the joke with his hair perfectly up until that moment and that just totally threw her off.

Skypiea is a good arc, it's funny as the arc was longer in the manga than in the anime. I believe the anime messed up the pacing, but then again the added scenes can add so much. It's not great, but not the worst, as some fans want to say. its resurgence is mainly due to the massive lore implications further down the line.

Every time they do Sogeking's backstory song it reminds me of the Oingo Boingo song from JoJo's

here's the thing about serialising an ONGOING series...(the manga + the anime) you can't catch up. OP has always been weekly - so to combat this problem, there is pacing issues. so while you might not get 12 episodes of lost in snake, instead you're gonna get flashbacks to scenes one or two episodes ago.... that's just the downside to having a consistent ongoing release schedule.
Animes nowadays go in seasons with months if not years between seasons - THOSE anime don't abide by these tools that fuck up pacing. but One Piece IS a different beast.

The new outro will have new fanart every time it plays. And the intro isn't safe as long as it plays.

One of the most consistent things in One Piece. If Luffy is listening intently to your plan just know that mofo hasn't heard a word you said and is bout to do some off the rails stuff as soon as you take your eyes off him.
